After this visit, I'm convinced IG influencer are LYING!!! I was so excited to visit this place after seeing 3 of my favorite food influencer give this place 5 starts. My experience was far from 5 stars. My grandmother loves Mexican so I bought her for a celebration. The service was lacking! My grandma uses a walker and they sat us far from the door. The time it took to ask what we needed was crazy! Now don't get me wrong, this place looks so AMAZING! It seems made for Instagram! It is very photo shoot friendly. The food on the other hand is not good. I was looking forward to the salmon croquettes that all the influencers posted. They tasted like unflavored mush! The drinks were speedy and not so delicious. This is a place I don't see going back to any time soon.

Everything is very fun until they steal your belongings, yesterday they took my boyfriend's jacket with all his belongings inside, when there are guards inside who tell you that it is safe to leave the jackets there, that they will be attentive, but it is a lie, they don't do it responsible for anything, clearly I will never return. Train your DJs, if people don't dance or show signs of displeasure it's because they are doing something wrong and not for you to take it personally.

Went on a Sunday…second time trying this place!
Rumba has dope music and the potential for a great atmosphere, the aesthetic of the place is refreshing with the lights and plants that line the walls and the modern vibe of the whole establishment is really nice…bonus for having clean open bathrooms as well.
Another amazing point about this place is the music which they do very well…they could use better speakers for the outdoor sitting area but the song selection was on point!
The problem for me is the food and service which is subpar at best. The menu could use an update both option wise and taste wise because there is not much to pic from even for a weekend specialty menu. Moreover, you would think that with such a small selection everything would taste amazing….however, that is definitely not the case.
The guacamole is alright nothing note worthy. The wings, and jollof rice are pretty lackluster in preparation and flavor. I will say that the orange looking spicy sauce the wings come with is really good…tried to ask the name of the sauce and the waitress was clueless. (Hopefully y’all take note and make the sauces a flavor of wing somehow while also educating your servers on the menu) The chicken and waffles are also pretty basic in taste like you “should” have just made them at home especially considering the prices. The price should match the food or at least the flavor profile and it does not hit the mark.
Regardless, like I said this place has so much potential so hopfully they kick it up a notch so we don’t lose this place…uptown needs a spot like this, but yall need to pick up the game!
* drinks are decent I suppose but that shouldn’t be a challenge yall in uptown!
*If I’m paying 17 dollars for 5 chicken wings then they better taste better Buffalo Wild Wings!
*lose the flowers and glitz on the guacamole and add more guacamole, and maybe a more bountiful amount of chips for them!
*the Jollof has been a bit “soggy” both times I been here and had it, find a new chef or recipe MN got plenty of aunties that can make Jollof!
*the servers are cute at least….keep that up, but train them on customer service cause that’s what gonna get people!
*prices on everything are to hefty for what your being served…again both drink and food wise!

I've gone on a Saturday night, this restaurant became a club, and the cover is usually $20. Drinks are around $14. Their music is always good. If you wanna dance to Latino music, this is a great place for that.

Too Mexican, where's the cumbia and bachata
I came here during Halloween & was roofied. I definitely got roofied by the male manger after I got into an argument with him about my debit card. I didn’t want to believe it but I also see multiple people have also been roofied here. Trust me it’s not a coincidence either. They also charge so much for drinks & an entry fee. They won’t stay open unless the cartel is supporting them. I mean let’s be real who wears a bullet proof vest at a club? ?? plenty of other bars around with no entry fee.
Sucel is a terrible bartender. Doesn’t pay attention to any female patrons. Only male patrons and bottle service girls/servers. Waited at the bar for like 20 minutes before I went to the other side and Zach helped us within 2 minutes.

I made a reservation for my birthday. Called and confirmed 3 days before hand. The text me the day of and tell me it’s cancelled for a private event. Thank your for ruining my special event. I guess I’m just not as important. How disappointed, and I’ve never been before.
Someone close to me was roofied here and was taken out of the establishment unconscious by a stranger and assaulted. Police let us know that this place had “technical difficulty” with cameras the night it happened and they also delete footage every three days. So convenient that they would allow their customers to not be safe and be held accountable. Do not come here if you want to make it home safe!!!

We visited for ladies' night. Overall, it's a good place for a night out. The dance floor is not very active, and most people are just sitting at the tables or hanging around. The drinks are VERY overpriced.
