Safari Restaurant in Minneapolis

I used to go there regularly pre- Covid. Now I’ve learned that the main owners/investors have defrauded the government by using money intended to provide meals for children, on expensive homes, travel, and cars for themselves. Almost no money went to provide meals for children, despite their claims of serving over 2000 meals a day in multiple locations. Safari is a major player in this fraud scheme. Google Safari food program fraud. Total losers!

It’s pathetic to witness how people are more of followers than leaders in this day in age. How do you believe allegations. This restaurant was by far cleanest and best Somali restaurant in town. Stop allowing one narrative cloud your judgment. The idiots whom wrote reviews in the last couple of days are not worth a response. Stop envying and spreading fake news.

Please do not support a restaurant that is committing fraud and spending money on themselves that's intended to help feed children. Disgusting.

The Sambusa is awesome! My friend had camel burger and loved it.

The food is so good!!! The staff is very friendly and the environment is cozy and real. I have only had great experiences here. The food does take a while to come out so if you are on a time schedule maybe rethink it. The chicken mango curry is the way to go. Along with the chapati and hummus!

Safari is my favorite place to eat in Minneapolis! The food is amazing, the staff is super friendly, and it’s also a great cultural experience to the Somali culture. 10/10 recommend.

We had never tried Somalian food before but it was excellent! A favorite was the goat mandi and Ke Key. The chicken mango curry was excellent as well!
