Vegetarian options: They have sorbet & vegan options. I’m not vegan/vegetarian, simply don’t prefer dairy when enjoying the goodness that is Sebastian Joe’s frozen treat.

Parking: Depending on time of day you go, it may be difficult to find a spot right out front & you may have to park away and walk a block/two.

Fresh coffee, roasted on site. Friendly employees with lots of unique ice cream flavors.

Parking: There's a decent amount of street parking on Franklin.

Kid-friendliness: It's an ice cream shop!

Several flavors of delicious ice cream to choose from…and if that’s not enough sugar, there are also some baked good to choose from!

Amazing ice cream, coffee and popovers!! The space is artsy & relaxed! They open early and close late. Staff is always fun, friendly and upbeat! I just flat out love SJ Ice Cream Café.

My only gripe is that they don't do a good job of cleaning the sitting area or the bathrooms.

Manager was incredibly kind and cooperative. Jumped at the chance to serve us. Puts herself before her staff, going as far as to take time out of her duties to grab a new tub of ice cream when her employees were already busy. I think her name was Chloe. Not sure. Will be coming back here soon. I hope they have milk and cookies again!

For a locally made, top tier, ice cream experience, go here. Creative flavors that hit the mark, reliable classics, to die for ice cream sandwiches, and homemade cones. Plenty of seating and if not take a slow stroll towards Caffetto on Lyndale for a cold brew or espresso to finish things off.

Love the Tire Buster! 5 stars!

11/07/2024 update : 2 stars!
Still love the Tire Buster Dulce Cado but they dont always serve it. Sometimes they randomly turn the machine off and stop serving it around 9:30pm or simply if there is too much traffic then they refuse to make it. They should manage it better or keep it as a seasonal item if thats how they want to serve it.

I had the Mint Grapefruit sorbet. I'm not a big fan of grapefruit, and its probably something I won't get again, but for what its worth I enjoyed it on a cone. The Spumoni was yummy as well!

4* is simply due to the price. There are similar shops in the area that offer comparable ice cream for less. The ice cream is fantastic, service was lovely, and the shop itself is very clean and vibrant. I had a scoop of raspberry chip and was impressed by the sharpness of the raspberry flavor.
