Great bar food menu options and great blues bands to boot!
2.00 to use a debit card my bill was 14.00 most places charge 3 percent this way too much
Perfect dive music bar in NE Minneapolis. Great people, good bar food and incredible selection of live bands. Fun cheers kinda place.

The server Sydney we waited an hour for a drink and the table was not cleaned from our food order the whole time we were there.

Food (shrimp basket) was a little too overdone. Band was good but loud. Bring earplugs if you go. People seemed to enjoy themselves.

Nice dive bar. Have been twice to see my friend's band play. Food's awesome, cheap drinks, and super nice staff. Friday night was not the best. My understanding was that it would be a free show, not $5/person cover, and nowhere did it mention cash only until AFTER we walked in (even though they held our card for the tab?).
My guess is it wasn't clear to the staff what was going on last night, because we went a couple months ago and everything went so smoothly.
Tl;dr give this dive bar a chance. Good prices, great atmosphere, and fantastic staff.

Best dive joint for great music at super prices; wait staff are fabulous - friendly and efficient.
Always a great time
They say the Shaws burger is a "3 napkin" burger. If you've got a beard ya might need more. But it's a mess that's worth it. Put a straw in your beverage before you start on this sloppy delicious beast because once you pick it up you've committed. It's one of those that if you put it down it'll lose structural integrity. You're in for the whole burger once you pick it up. Great onion rings too. Bartenders are quick. Music is awesome. Classic old school NE bar atmosphere. No complaints.
