They dont advertise it but if anyone remembers the Sun Drive Inn in NE Minneapolis around the 70's, they made the best darn burger around. Shaws has a Sun Burger that is absolutely the closest to it that I have ever found. Its fantastic. Not to say their Shawburger isn't great but I just have to have the Sunburger when I am there.
Nice dive bar. Have been twice to see my friend's band play. Food's awesome, cheap drinks, and super nice staff. Friday night was not the best. My understanding was that it would be a free show, not $5/person cover, and nowhere did it mention cash only until AFTER we walked in (even though they held our card for the tab?).
My guess is it wasn't clear to the staff what was going on last night, because we went a couple months ago and everything...
