First off Jared did a fantastic job welcoming us in and his hostess and host were smiling and inviting as well. We had the best service from Felipe knocked it out of the park with his 5 star service! Highly recommended as this team knows how to just be themselves and that’s what makes customers happy! Excellent food too! Thank you SS!

All the food delicious. Guacamole, I could have just had, for my meal. They will chuck the crab for you for $10 a pound. If you like seafood I would definitely add this place to your list to try.

Great experience. We were able to listen to the band. It is actually a cool spot for some music. Plus, the food is still great.

Good: The Connecticut lobster roll and the greensThe bad: The smoked meat. It was so spicy with no smoke flavor. The atmosphere was stuffy and stiff. Not at all costal or casual as the sign suggests. The ugly; The service. We had to ask for things more than once, weren’t offered drinks to start, and he would disappear for long periods of time.Wheelchair accessibility: The building is accessable

Smack Shack is close to where I am and always drives by. Restaurant week was the reason for trying this place out after previewing the lunch menu. I read reviews from others and decided before walking in.The appetizer, Lobster Guacamole, was freshly made, with fresh elements of tomato and crispy radish slices and chunks of lobster. I did add the Craigs Cry Baby hot sauce as I like dimension. The Original Lobster Roll was my lunch choice based on reviews and amazed! The succulent lobster in a creamy condiment (guessing mayo based), diced cucumber, and fresh tarragon (a mild licorice taste) stuffed a beautifully buttery, toasted milk bread. The lobster roll stayed together, not messy, and each bite was delightful. I know salt is by choice, but I felt it needed a little flavor boost. I used the same hot sauce to be that for a well constructed roll!Dessert was not part of the restaurant week lunch menu, but do try their key lime pie! I am guessing the crust was something of a shortbread and a key lime custard to fill it. I love dessert, but not so sweet types. Their key lime pie with a light whip cream on top and a strawberry coulis was a match made in heaven.

At at Smack Shack last night. Disappointed in the freshness of the lobster. Tasted like older frozen lobster. Coming from Maine I've had some of the best lobster rolls. I had the warm lobster roll. The bun was done perfectly and the Cajun fries were amazing. The roll needed more salted butter on it as it was a bit dry. When done the waiter said we could always order more butter on the side. Atmosphere was great as was the music. There is an additional charge on the bill for under $2 that I was told was to pay for staff health benefits. Not sure I like that and if this is the Minneapolis practice.
