I really thought I would give this place a try and wow all I can say is it’s not good at all. We all got something different plates so I will speak for mine but It’s actually really not good and the rib tips tasted like lighter fluid. The collard greens were awful tasted like something out of a can - I mean glory greens would have been better and the yams were canned clearly. I wouldnt eat here if they said it was buy 1 get five free. Absolutely not.

Hello, I was visiting in town this weekend and decided to grab some ribs for my family and I. I also just wanted to support my black business in the area I grew up in. However I ordered catfish nuggets that was not fully cooked along with a slab of ribs that tasted like they were splashed with lighter fluid. Had I not drove on the otherside of town I would have purchased another order just for the owner to taste his own product just to know my family and I wasn't tripping! Please know I'm definitely not one to hate on any business just because but I'm actually really afraid we might get sick from this. Owner take heed this become a serious matter in the future.

Don't ever order the Brisket no matter how its served.Over cooked,not fresh and the selection on sides is iffy at best.They don't have something because it's the end of they're work week.(what about the customer who pays your bills?) The brisket has NO flavor other than the sauce they dump on it.I asked for fries but got baked beans instead which weren't worth writing too Mom about.Ive made the mistake of returning foe a 2nd time and the experience is worst than the 1st!! I'll never return nor will I recommend this establishment unless I want to lose a friend.

Had an event catered and it went horrible. The food was not ready on time, I had to go help package my food, I had to deliver my own food (was charged delivery fee), I did not receive all the food I paid for, owner was unprofessional, and the quality of the food was not worth purchasing. I requested some or all my money back and no response. This was a horrible experience and poor food quality. DO NOT EAT OR HAVE FOOD CATERED. I wasted $900 with this company.

Got the 3 smoked wings & Tips with Fried Spaghetti and Beans! It was all so good! The BBQ sauce was really good too! Can't wait to have it again!
I ordered through doordash today don't know if it was because they was closing the ribtip and the catfish dinner should have been sent to the trash they just gave us anything just say yall closing next time fries was very hard and old and the rib tips was hard and dry looked liked someone had played in it
Rib tips were just ok, mac and cheese was horrible, fries were soggy, wings were literally burnt. Not worth $23.

Excellent BBQ!!! SO good!!! We're from St. Louis and can never find good BBQ away from home (except Texas). I'm so glad we found this place. Truly excellent flavors, perfectly cooked meats. And the sides are to die for. Not to mention it being in a location that's very worth visiting. We love Smoke in the Pit!

I contacted Smoke In The Pit, after being put in charge of ordering food for a work event last minute. They were able to accommodate us, which was great, but what was even better was the customer service.
I received a response quickly and communicated with Dwight, who helped me through the entire process. Our food was delivered on time and hot! The staff that delivered was friendly and the food was loved by all of our attendees.

smoke in the pit is my go-to... aut-o-matic... recommendation for anyone looking for an authentic BBQ. you won't be disappointed. flavors, sauces, chicken, pulled pork, catfish, etc... and the fries were crispy. didn't even lose texture after losing myself with the sandwich i had earlier on my lunch break.
you can't go wrong anyway you go about it. check this place out if you haven't. and if you have... you know you will again. savor that flavor, my friends. hard to find around here.
