I've been going this place for a few years now and they never disappoint the food's good the service is excellent they don't take all day to make your food and they give you a drink as well definitely spend your time going down to Minneapolis to check out this restaurant just because it's on the South Side it doesn't mean you're going to get shot or ride is it going to have it to you it's actually a place of peace and people try to come back together after the history of that area

You should pass on this place. More than half of the rib tips were obviously reheated from previous days as they were dry, stringy like shoe leather and most was inedible.

The food was good but the customer service was amazing. I had a big order and the guy helped me carry everything too the car. All the food was done quicker than we thought and everything was very good. I will definitely visit this place again when I'm in town. Thank you!

Good Black Owned BBQ!! Kinda taste like your uncle on the grill at the family reunion 😂🥰 Haven't been to this spot since George Floyd, thought they were closed, went today and customer service was Excellent, Food was Good as well, I just would've like the sauce to be more sweet & tangy. I will return, their French fries are amazing dipped in the BBQ sauce 🤤

I really thought I would give this place a try and wow all I can say is it’s not good at all. We all got something different plates so I will speak for mine but It’s actually really not good and the rib tips tasted like lighter fluid. The collard greens were awful tasted like something out of a can - I mean glory greens would have been better and the yams were canned clearly. I wouldnt eat here if they said it was buy 1 get five free. Absolutely not.
Hello, I was visiting in town this weekend and decided to grab some ribs for my family and I. I also just wanted to support my black business in the area I grew up in. However I ordered catfish nuggets that was not fully cooked along with a slab of ribs that tasted like they were splashed with lighter fluid. Had I not drove on the otherside of town I would have purchased another order just for the owner to taste his own product just to know my family and I wasn't tripping! Please know I'm definitely not one to hate on any business just because but I'm actually really afraid we might get sick from this. Owner take heed this become a serious matter in the future.

Don't ever order the Brisket no matter how its served.Over cooked,not fresh and the selection on sides is iffy at best.They don't have something because it's the end of they're work week.(what about the customer who pays your bills?) The brisket has NO flavor other than the sauce they dump on it.I asked for fries but got baked beans instead which weren't worth writing too Mom about.Ive made the mistake of returning foe a 2nd time and the experience is worst than the 1st!! I'll never return nor will I recommend this establishment unless I want to lose a friend.

Had an event catered and it went horrible. The food was not ready on time, I had to go help package my food, I had to deliver my own food (was charged delivery fee), I did not receive all the food I paid for, owner was unprofessional, and the quality of the food was not worth purchasing. I requested some or all my money back and no response. This was a horrible experience and poor food quality. DO NOT EAT OR HAVE FOOD CATERED. I wasted $900 with this company.
