Family was attending a get together at Minneapolis Axe Throwing and afterwards decided to grab a bite. Decided to stop by Sonora Mexican Kitchen just happenstance. WOW. I live for Mexican food and honestly this food was really top of the list. Everyone at the table indicated that the food was the best tasting they have had for a Mexican fare. Not just saying this. I had to think when I’ve had better, and couldn’t really come up with an answer. It was a long drive for us, but I’m going to have to make this trip again. Well done Sonora Mexican Kitchen and Bar! Well done!
I ordered the steak burrito and it was spectacular! The tortilla was perfectly crispy and the flavors were just perfect. There was a tomato sauce on the side and it was great for dipping. I can’t wait to come back here for this burrito! The decoration is beautiful as well!
Love this place! Delicious queso, tacos and burritos. Always friendly service and good drinks. Would definitely recommend!
The food and drinks here are always top-notch! The staff are all very friendly and hard-working people. Just know that sometimes, during a rush, they may be slightly understaffed, so go there with a smile and a little bit of patience, and you'll enjoy a great meal!
Stopped in for dinner. My group really liked the guacamole, but most of the chips that came with it were small broken pieces and we weren’t offered more chips. The tacos were good! I really liked the fish taco and the mushroom tacos were also tasty. My group liked the chimichanga, the brisket burrito, and the quesadilla.
There seemed to be only one server so the service was very slow. The server was super nice though.
One of the best burgers and burritos you'll find anywhere!

food was amazing!
A great spot for delicious Mexican cuisine! We stopped by for dinner while in town for a conference and were impressed by the experience. The space has a cool, industrial-modern vibe that feels upbeat and inviting.
Our server was fantastic—friendly, attentive, and helpful with menu recommendations. The food itself was flavorful and plentiful. We shared the pork pastor nachos, which were super filling and delicious.
Overall, we had a wonderful time and would definitely return if we’re ever in the area to try more of the menu. If you’re nearby, it’s worth a visit!

The food was flavorful, fresh and delicious! There was no sense of urgency at all to even acknowledge us when we walked in the door, once we were finally seated we sat there so long without being even acknowledged that we were considering leaving when someone finally came over.
But the food made up for it for the most part.

Love this place! First time at this location specifically but the host and bartender were very sweet. Food was delicious as always. I really love their chorizo! Can’t go wrong with carnitas tacos as well.
