The Force is Strong with This One.

In a time of culinary rebellion, deep in the galaxy of Northeast Minneapolis, a hidden cantina has risen — Stargazer. Brought to life by the rebel minds of Travail and Jedi mixologist Robb Jones, this cocktail outpost channels the perfect blend of sci-fi style and stellar drinks.

No stormtroopers here — just barstools, glowing blue light, a starlit ceiling, and a menu Darth Vader himself would approve. The QR code drink list transports you through a galaxy of cocktail categories, each more inventive than the last.

Add in a snackable menu to keep your mission fueled, and you've got yourself one unforgettable night. Three drinks and two menu items came to $82 with tip — a small price for a trip through hyperspace. Service and cocktails? Out. Of. This. World.

The neighborhood calls this the Mall of America Bar. I’ll update my review when I can actually get a drink there. I recently went in at 11pm on a Saturday night after having dinner down the street. The bartenders watched us sit down at the bar before they told us they were closed. I couldn’t tell if they were mean, so cool that they were blinded by my nerdiness, or high.

I really enjoyed my recent visit to Stargazer. I don't know how they're making money on the food. My wife and I had a delicious self-guided multi-course meal with their apps/small plates. The cocktails were delicious. Almost as good as mine :), but their Variety far exceeded what's available at my house. Cocktail pricing seemed about right to me considering the high quality ingredients.

A standout moment was when a bartender heard us talking about the two Mezcals on offer and came over and talked to us about the options and their origins. Really elevated the experience. Favorite drinks were the Copitas and Seasonal Sidecar, fave food was the fried chicken.

The drinks were great, and the star map menu on your phone was a fun little twist. The decor does a lot with a little, which elevates it above pop-up vibes, but only barely. The biggest problem is it's way too loud - the space's design amplifies the music and discussion, and the next day it feels like I was at a concert without earplugs.

My advice to management is to install some sonic damping, and lean in more on the experience. The star map is fun but out of place with the otherwise ordinary service and decor; the bar winds up now in this halfway space between an experiential bar and a kid's bedroom.

The bathroom were one of the coolest things. The drinks were decent. The garage was up so I hope to come back when it’s more dark and cool 😎 vibes.

Definitely speakeasy vibes with the fact that you almost completely miss it while walking past. When we entered, there was a velvet rope to keep us in the entryway and separate while getting ID’d.

My friends and I went in the evening while the sun was still up, so we didn’t get the full experience with the darkness and stars on the ceiling. I would say it’s definitely not worth checking out unless you go at night.

The menu is ridiculous, they’re trying too hard and it results in taking way too long to navigate to find what you want. You scan the QR code and it pulls up this constellation format with all the drinks in categories. Drinks were overpriced for how average they were, but the corndogs were delicious.

Our server was also stand-offish and rude, I probably won’t be back.

Went here for the first time on Thursday night and had an amazing experience. The staff were friendly and helpful, the atmosphere is unique and fun, the food and drink were DELICIOUS and reasonably priced. So glad this is in the neighborhood and we can’t wait to come back!

Extensive drink list. Larger menu of small bites. I would not make a meal out of the food options, but nice for snacking while you sip.

The food is really quite good, and the atmosphere is obviously a big part of the draw.

Drinks are a letdown though. It’s pretty clear they wanted an enormous menu, and it does them a disservice. Should probably pare the list down to 15 excellent drinks instead of 40+ half baked ones.

The cocktail “map” menu is annoying and requires you spend time fiddling with your phone. And as most have noted, prices are totally unreasonable.

This is very much a “go once for the Gram” whereas I was hoping for a standby for taking friends from out of town.
