I have been traveling to Minneapolis for business the past four years and never understood the allure of the very traditional, very simple (and arguably outdated) steakhouse that seems to be so popular in the City.
There is a lot of great food in Minneapolis but this is the Steakhouse the town NEEDED.
Great atmosphere (energetic music and amazing design), awesome food, fun creative beverages for everyone and stellar service! You want to impress a client - go here. You want to impress your wife - go here. You want to your father-in-law to respect you - stop wearing sweatpants to brunch but also, take him here.

The terrible service at the bar unfortunately outweighs the great food & drink. Wanted to love this place but am so disappointed in the service. Craig, the manager, was understanding. Ciera had a shitty attitude all night. Had to prompt my own order taking all night and ask for things repeatedly. Long wait when it finally came. Very incongruent to the type of establishment this strives to be and its corresponding price point.
11/10 edit - still haven’t heard back from manager on response below and have followed up 2x

My husband and I had dinner at Stock & Bond and everything was absolutely excellent. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and our waitress, Nadia, was incredibly wonderful. She was attentive, friendly, and really made the experience even better. We will be visiting again. Highly recommend!

The bread was super amazing! Our waitress was lovely. But we were very disappointed in our steak. For $69 there was no seasoning on it. It was well prepared but tasted like nothing unfortunately. Maybe something other than the steak would be good 🫠

Beautiful place for atmosphere. Food is expensive and so we were expecting better. Our stake for 2 for $165 was over done and supposed to be 40 oz and luck if it was 30 oz. We had the Brussel sprouts and they had a pungent smell that almost recked my appetite. I could wait for them to take them away. Then the table next to us got them and it as horrible again. You shouldn’t serve food that everyone has to endure such a smell! I was so looking forward to amazing meal and was disappointed. Our service was great and he was very attentive and they have very professional dress that make it feel like a top end restaurant. Very mixed crowd. Some well dressed people and then sweatshirts and jeans.

If you sit by the front the wind comes right through when the door is open. With the smallest font possible and the extreme darkness, it's hard to even read the menu to order, order much less see your food. So dark you couldn't see the croutons in the salad or the fat lines to properly cut the steak.

This was a gorgeous new restaurant that simply missed the mark. Food was not great. Burrata app - the crostini’s were far too crunchy, the bread they brought to the table was flavorless, the steak was well prepared but wasn’t seasoned well, whipped potatoes had a very pungent cheese flavor, however the corn was the star of the show - it was excellent. The chocolate cake - gorgeous presentation, however they forgot that it’s also supposed to taste good, somehow they forgot the sugar and I don’t have a big seeet tooth. cappuccino - the worst. I wanted to love this restaurant but for the money, it just didn’t measure up. If you are in the mood for $300 corn - this is your spot!

We recently enjoyed a truly exceptional evening for a party of four at Stock & Bond, and the entire experience was flawless, from the initial service to the final bite of dessert. The restaurant successfully delivers on its promise of a modern classic American steakhouse, rich in both flavor and history.
The service was outstanding—attentive, knowledgeable, and perfectly timed, making us feel genuinely cared for throughout the night.
We began our culinary journey with an array of appetizers that were immediate highlights. The Caviar Tots were a decadent twist on a comfort classic, and the Oysters in the Half Shell were perfect. The house-baked bread, served warm, was also a delightful start.
The cocktail program is clearly a point of pride. We indulged in expertly crafted classic whiskey drinks, including a rich Manhattan and a perfectly balanced Old Fashioned, alongside a fun, personalized Build Your Own Martini. A bottle of Super Tuscan paired beautifully with our main courses. Our only minor complaint was typical of many Minnesota whiskey bars: the impressive list can be misleading when certain allocated or hard-to-get selections are out of stock, a reality that even a lovely restaurant like this cannot entirely escape.
The new Beet Salad was a delicious, featuring beets and citrus paired with the delightful creamy tang of whipped goat cheese.
For our main courses, the heritage steaks and entrees were the stars. The Dry Aged Rib Eye and the Ranch Wagyu were cooked to absolute perfection, boasting deep, savory flavor profiles that pay tribute to the Midwest-based Linz family beef. The Short Rib Ragout was rich and comforting, and the Roasted Chicken was tender and flavorful.
Though we were thoroughly satisfied, we couldn't resist splurging on dessert. The 16 Layer Chocolate Cake was certainly tasty but perhaps a little dense. However, the Bread Pudding was phenomenal—warm, deeply flavored, and incredibly moist. It is a dessert I would highly recommend to anyone dining here.
Overall, Stock & Bond provided a magnificent, high-quality dining experience that is highly recommended for a special occasion or just a truly excellent meal out.

My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary and Stock and Bond didn't disappoint. Ambience was excellent. Food was very good but the star of the night was our server, Jen, who went above and beyond to ensure that our night was exceptional. She achieved that goal. We will return to Stock and Bond.

I was excited to dine at Stock and Bond for the first time last night. I had read all of the articles online about the venue. I also had read many of the Google reviews. Several reviewers had complained about the loud music. While I was waiting in the bar/lounge for my dining companion to arrive, suddenly the music in the room was turned up to nightclub level. Obviously, the enterprise is choosing not to take diner's review comments into account. I immediately spoke with an employee and told them that if the music was not turned down, I would not dine there. Thankfully, the music was turned down so that diners could have a conversation without screaming. My dining companion and I found our server Tim to be off-putting. He had a flippant style of communicating more suitable for Outback Steakhouse, rather than a high-end restaurant. He also was rather dismissive when my dining companion expressed a concern about serving sparkling water in a bottle larger than one meter in size that does not come with a screw-top cap - - meaning that much of the water goes to waste rather than being able to taken home. The server should have mentioned the size of the bottle before serving. The restaurant lighting was so low that one could not truly appreciate all of the beautiful flooring and other aspects of the space. The room would feel much warmer if the lighting was increased just slightly. The food we ordered was excellent, served hot and with great flavors. The bread pudding was the best we ever had, because it was not super-sweet like most.

Adrian was an incredible bartender and pointed us in the directions of their best cocktails right away. It was my girlfriend's birthday and not only did he make it an experience, he gave us a bunch of great suggestions for her birthday. Can't wait to come back for dinner. One of the most extensive whiskey lists I've ever seen. Ask for Adrian he has great pairings as well.
