Good food and drinks.

The black bean and brisket sandwiches were good. The ribs were much smaller than a year ago.

The food is just good. I wouldn't recommend someone to make a trip to visit, but if you're already nearby and looking for ribs or BBQ it's not bad. They have a nice patio. It's an order at the bar and seat yourself style, no table service. Pro tip: if you don't want to pay for food, staff will let you harass people eating until someone gives you food, then they'll even help you get to-go containers and condiments.

Everything we had needed salt: brisket, pork ribs, chicken wings. The ribs were dry. The brisket was tender but lacked flavor. The wings looked good but did not have any flavor. At one point, this was the best bbq in town, but hard to say that now.

Two smallish brisket sandwiches with a handful of chips and two beers = $72. This place is also counter service and automatically puts 18% gratuity on your bill.....for counter service. This place is overcharging on ok food for its high lease payments in a part of town it cannot afford. No need to return.

You place your order at the bar. You get a number. After you are done, you clean up by returning your dirty dishes to the collection stand. The only service they provide is to deliver your food to your table. And for that, they automatically add 18% "service" charge to the check. Outrageous! I won't be back.

I ordered the brisket sandwich and it was just that. Brisket in a bun. Nothing special. No slaw, no pickles. Nothing unique or that helps advance the sandwich. Brisket was okay. Bbq sauce was bad. Really dark and thick with no flavor. Brisket sandwich came with a bag style tortilla chip, which is odd for bbq (maybe skip the chips and offer a small side of slaw or beans???) Very thick tortilla chips, too. Got the loaded fries to supplement the tortilla chips. The fries were good, but the toppings were dumped on top. Not a fan. My biggest complaint was with the sandwich, nothing special. Two people, two beers. $92. Wow. 18% mandatory gratuity despite we ordered at the counter and really received no service.

I had the chance to work a wedding at StormKing over the weekend. They have a beautiful building in the heart of downtown, and the staff was incredibly kind and helpful. They worked hard to make sure all the guests got their drinks and food promptly.
