Good Japanese curry but hands down the worst spicy tuna sushi I’ve ever had. And I’ve tried lots of sushi around the US and Japan. Bizarrely bland fish with overcooked rice and no spice. The sushi was cheap, thankfully. The udon was also pleasant.

Love the ambiance. It’s always clean and their food is very good! You can taste the quality of ingredients this place use. My favorite is the boba teas! Staff are excellent!
DO NOT EAT HERE. Terrible food, no matter the price (which is low but even then not worth it). The “beef” was string of fat with minuscule pieces of “meat” attached to it. The rice tasted like it was out of a box (ie.-minute rice). When I went back to replace my dish for a chicken option I was instructed the beef was in fact “stringy beef”. They were rude but at least replaced it for a slightly more edible chicken which was microwaved (if you’ve had microwaved chicken before, you know the texture). I ended up eating a little over half and threw the rest out.Anyway, even at 8 bucks it was a waste of money but worst of all, this place is an insult to Japanese cuisine. I have no clue how it has a 4.8? Maybe their sushi is amazing for all I know, but their bowls are trash.

Sushi Takatsu is a fabulous spot for lunch in downtown Minneapolis! Located in the Baker Building, it's tucked away in the skyway but easy to navigate to through the IDS building. If you smell something delicious, follow the scent trail and you will find it!They have a lot of great stuff on the menu, and I love the lunch special sushi bowl--$8.95 for rice, spicy tuna, salmon, yellowtail and avocado topped with spicy mayo, tempura flakes, and sesame seeds. You can also add a bowl of miso soup for 75 cents! It's a great deal and the portion size is perfect for a filling lunch that won't leave you feeling stuffed or groggy. No after-lunch slump here!The service is quick and the staff is very friendly. It's a small space and there aren't many spots to sit inside to eat, but I'd recommend taking your meal over to the IDS center and finding a spot in the atrium there!Definitely give Sushi Takatsu a try on your next lunch adventure through the Minneapolis skyways, especially if you work downtown during the day. It won't disappoint!
