This restaurant is a treasure! The atmosphere alone makes it my favorite place for Mexican food. I usually get a burrito or enchiladas. Go with friends! Prices are phenomenal in my opinion

Call me a gringo— but the chimichanga with beef is awesome— it’s actually great any style—vegetarian, anything.

Gone downhill. New ownership? Chips are now Tostitos, brown avacodo side, wilted lettuce and atmosphere has changed. Would go for takeout every couple of weeks and the past two times has been bad. Not going back.

Fantastic hole in the wall spot. Good food, family owned vibe. Food is the best part, service is really good as well.

This used to be my and my partner’s favorite go-to restaurant in the neighborhood, but ever since the owners changed we haven’t gone back. When my partner was inside picking up take out he talked to somebody (possibly a customer) who said the owners were on vacation and the cooks have taken over while the owners are away. Can anyone confirm if this is true, and if so, when are the real owners returning? I hope soon before Taco Lupita goes out of business. I would hate to see that.
Agreed with previous reviewer: quality is abysmal. Tacos Lupita went from one of our favorite neighborhood restaurants to a never-return restaurant. Missing toppings, missing salsa, store-bought chips, bland and tiny side of guac. We called, thinking they got our order wrong, and the person who answered said they’re under new ownership and they haven’t updated their menu to reflect the real ingredients.

It’s definitely not fancy, but if you don’t care about that and just want some decently priced Mexican food that’s close to the airport, this place definitely works.

Eat here every couple weeks but the quality this time was abysmal. Our tortas were soggy and had missing toppings. Went from our favorite tortas to the worst we’ve ever had. Chips were not their normal homemade but store bought. Guac portion was bland and much smaller than normal.
They said that they are under new ownership because the regular owners are on summer vacation I guess. Hoping they’ll be back and this place hasn’t gone down hill permanently.
Prior to the last week or two this place was 5 stars. If this is the new normal we will not be back again
