I had the best Shrimpo-boy here at the local 1029 Bar. Great atmosphere for anyone to watch sports, grab a drink, and chat with friends. The food here has always been top quality too. Shout out to the chefs

9/10 times service is unfriendly and unwelcoming, drinks are subpar at best, atmosphere is full of yuppies on weekend nights… but goddamn does this place have the best lobster roll you can get in Minnesota.

Popped in early on a Saturday night for karaoke after a 9 hour drive. Rudest bar I’d been in half a dozen years. Bartender meh, once my 5’1” self got stepped on and cut in line multiple times to get to him. Patrons 0/10 bc they were pushing and shoving and bitching and making fun of everyone and everything. Some dude kept tapping me on the shoulder and laughing like he was ten years old and saying I know you though I live nine hours away. Couldn’t order food that looked good on the pics bc they couldn’t hear me. My best friend wanted to sing karaoke and the kj was so nice, the one time we talked to him before everyone was mean and we gave up. He was the only good thing about the whole place js.

The Smack Shack food is great. The ambience is great. Pull tabs and meat raffles are true Midwest. This place is a great local spot and more than a DDD hotspot. Great for big games too!

We were in town the first of October for two nights. The first night was a Sunday and we rolled into here around 9 to catch the football game and a bite to eat. The kitchen was already closed but the bartender was super awesome! We had a few drinks and since they close at 11pm on Sundays he recommended some other places for us to check out and grab a bite to eat. So when Monday rolled around we went back with our moms to watch more football and drink. Monday we got food. I got the lobster roll and it was AMAZING! We had the best time, our bartender again was AWESOME! Play some pull tabs, won some money, played the iPad games, lost some money. Overall experience here was GREAT! Have been telling everyone back home in Kentucky how great of a city Minneapolis is, and they HAVE to go to this bar!!! As a manager of a college dive bar I can appreciate a good dive bar, and this one is top notch!
