Dinner was lovely! Loved that they have Smithwicks beer on tap! Along with vinegar on the tables for your chips!

I really can't speak highly enough of this place. The food is always wonderful, the space is quaint and cozy, and when nothing but Fish and Chips will do, there is nowhere better. Yes, there are issues with the space that only add to its charm, but the food and service are always outstanding, I go back often, and I make a reservation every father's day weekend(also my birthday weekend) because it's that damn fantastic.

I've been here several times before, but I went here last night after leaving the bar, craving some fish and chips. It was about 20min before closing. I know what its like in the restaurant business when people show up right before closing and you're trying to clean up (jerk move on my part, sorry). I was treated very nicely, and everybody was still super friendly. It goes without saying the fish is amazing! Thank you for your excellent service and the best fish in town.

We had been here several times before, but it has been, like 10 years ago. Came back for a visit again today. I am sorry to say that I was not impressed.
Same run down, and dark interior.
The fish 'n chips still has an extra charge for tartar sauce. They still don't have malt vinegar, only some watered out white vinegar.
My chips were mostly small scraps from the bottom of the bag. The fish itself seemed less than before and less flavorful.
There was one new thing, a 3% charge for using a card !
For a piece of fish and some of the worst French fries I have ever had for almost $18, I don't think I will return again.

This is the best fish and chips I’ve ever had and it’s not even close. I’ve been to places famous for them like Ireland and England, and those places have nothing on The Anchor. Reasonably priced, generous serving, and good service to boot.

5/5✨Absolutely bussin fish and chips!! The tartar sauce is so good I am glad I asked for two! I ordered takeout so I didn’t get to sit and vibe but the inside is just a cute divey bar vibe with the dark wood. Will for sure have to sit in to order next time and get one of their beers on tap! Also the guy who helped me order was so nice and efficient! The wait didn’t take long at all 10-15mins like the guy said! Will 100% be going back… after I finish my leftovers haha

Parking: Street parking wasn’t too hard to find I was able to get a spot right in front!

English style pub. Fish and chips are the best in the Twin Cities! My daughter always gets their poutine. Delish!!!! Service is always great! We were a table of three so we were placed at a high top. Not terrible here, since they have somewhere to put my feet. I works recommend reservations
