Really good fish and chips. I love cod it’s one of my favorites. And the tartar sauce is amazing, the best tartar sauce I’ve ever had and I’m not even a tartar sauce person… don’t pass up the tartar sauce! The coleslaw was really good too! I’m picky about my coleslaw and this one is a winner.

I live up the block and have to limit my exposure here to once a month to prevent more, ahem, expansive trends. Really big, deep-fried cod fillet and gorgeous chips. I add a little vinegar to the purple, raisiny cole slaw and eat my fish with that, saving a hundred calories by not getting tartar sauce. Don't make the faux pas of ordering malt vinegar... Irish pubs apparently use white. Oh yeah, local ciders, Irish ales, and pasties, burgers, poutine, gravy. Get a reservation online. Afterward, walk down to the Mississippi and find the park to watch the sunset.Parking: A few spots in back. Park on a side street. Take Metrotransit route 11 and get off at 13th Ave NE.

Best in the Twin Cities for fish and chips like what I'm used to in England. Slightly surprised they're using white vinegar instead of malt, and the paper-in-a-basket approach can be a bit of a pain if your chips are drenched in curry sauce, but all in all a good experience.

Me and my husband just dined in there 20 minutes ago and he’s already nearly shid his pants. He had to make an emergency stop to a restroom on the way home. Good thing we did because I also puked three times after having horrendous stomach pain and chills. Unless you want an ouchy ouchy stomach and rampant diarrhea do not eat here. The fish was actually really tasty sadly, so I think it was rotten oil.

Seems they have changed things up since I was there last. The toasty was disappointing, my friends Sheppard pie did not meet expectations either. The fish and chips were good according to another.

I have been meaning to go to this place for a long time because many of my friends and colleagues say that it is the _best_ fish and chips in town. So, when I finally went in at 1240pm (you know, just after opening) I found out that you had to have reservations because it is a popular place. Lucky for me, they had an availability at 1. When we were finally seated, they told us we had an hour to finish our meal.Anyway, we obviously ordered fish and chips because that's what you're supposed to eat there, as well as mushy peas (ok) and coleslaw (skip). Well, maybe my friends don't go to pubs as much as I do because I found these fish and chips bland and unsalted. It is very cripsy and you get quite the big fish. However, I had to put their white vinegar ("Malt vinegar is for English pubs," said the server.} and a few dashes of salt and pepper to make it taste like something. I can think of a few pubs in Minneapolis that serve a tastier fish...

Pastie not what I expected and 1/4 of the fish had dark muscle running through it. Rest of the fish was good.Really nice servers and comfy place to hang out with a group.
