We received a friendly greeting from the hostess. We confirmed the reservation and we're seated in a comfortable booth. Our server, named Campbell, was friendly, pleasant and good at her job. Our drinks were delicious and the food was tasty. We had a great time before going to the Minnesota gophers hockey game.

Have eaten here before with better food. Pepperoni flatbread was essentially like frozen pizza cut like flatbread and it was cold for all of us (4 people ordered it) Bacon not done on chicken sandwich

We love checking out Graduate Hotels around the country. For a Leap Day experience we visited our local Graduate Hotel's restaurant, the Beacon Public House. Able to walk through the Hotel Lobby. Expectations were high and were exceeded. The ambience is awesome. Service and food were great. All 4 enjoyed their meal.

Really wished this had been a more pleasant experience, but the noise level coming through the lobby to the restaurant is horrendous -- more like a pinball parlor than a restaurant. The restaurant is not particularly relaxing, with constant sports tv streaming. The menu is lackluster, and nothing tasted very appealing -- over greasy fish and chips, flatbread and spreads is just a grocery store pita bread cut into triangles, not even warmed up. Staff disappears for long stretches into some back room area, leaving diners to get up and search for ketchup ourselves, etc.

We were seated quickly in a beautiful and comfortable booth as I had requested. Our server was helpful, prompt and friendly. The food and drinks were tasty. We have been here before and will be going back. Fun atmosphere .

I made an Open Table reservation for this breakfast, but also had a walk-in lunch at the Beacon the day before. Both meals were really good. The service was friendly and efficient. Hot dishes came out hot. Everything was seasoned nicely. I had the soup of the day and the Brussels sprouts salad for lunch and the next morning I had the steel cut oatmeal and fruit bowl for breakfast.

Our server, Morgen was absolutely perfect! The food was middle of the road and probably not worth the money. I would definitely go back for something else to eat because I've had other meals that were better there.

We stopped in for breakfast on MLK day. I love that we sat down to a bottle of water at the table. I had a hot cup of coffee in my hand before I even had time to think about it and the Eggs Benedict was fantastic. Our server, Ella, was super friendly and attentive - we felt so welcome and cared for! I'll be back for sure!

Our meal took a very long time to come out (tables sat after us were served and left before us). The server was nice, they didn't charge us for the food since it took so long. The restaurant was also very cold (kept jackets and winter hats on). It was chilly outside but was very cold in the restaurant itself.

Really cold in there and then the food came out cold. We have had good food there in the past but not this time. A little disappointed as we were looking forward to a nice meal and drink before the game.

My partner and I ate at the beacon for dinner a few days ago and had such a good experience. Our server campbell was and she was top notch such a delight! Very knowledgeable with the cocktails and food. She recommended the wings, tacos and salmon which were FANTASTIC. I had a great conversation with her about the campus and the hotel and she knew all the spots to go. So helpful. Will be coming back because of her!

Wow, I'm not a fan. But first, a couple of caveats: 1. It was Christmas Eve-Eve, ie 12/23, the night before the night before Christmas 2. There had been a crazy storm and many businesses had closed early That said, my husband and I chose to stay at this hotel instead of driving north precisely because it was open and had a "good" restaurant that didn't require going outside. I was disappointed on so many levels this evening. First, I know it was cold outside, but it was also cold in the restaurant! People were wearing their coats indoors. In MN, I expect to be cozy and warm by a fire when it's freezing out. Not here! Second, the food was, at best, mediocre. We were starving and in the wrong time zone, and still left food on the table. "Wild rice" pilaf had an almost indistinguishable amount of wild rice. I love walleye more than any fish, but it somehow was still flavorless, even with some salt and/or tartar sauce. Then, when I ordered a 9-oz glass of wine and was brought a 6-oz, I took it took it to the bar and, surprisingly, was challenged. The bartender poured a 6-oz water and a 9-oz water, and when it was obvious that my wine was exactly even with the 6-oz, the bartender got blustery and told me I might've taken a "sip." Uh huh, a 3-oz sip? Nope. Sometimes the better part of valor is...admitting that o you make a mistake. I tried to give the establishment grace given the circumstances, and wanted to be happy/merry, but I couldn't be any better than this review.
