Run, don’t walk, to The Briar! Wow this place was so special (and dare I say the date capital of Minneapolis at night?)! This place has great cocktails, delicious food, the best atmosphere, and friendliest staff! It was such a treat to go to this small spot with two great friends and enjoy some sandwiches, chips, and soups. Absolutely loved this spot!

We live in the neighborhood and absolutely love The Briar Bar! We love sitting at the bar for bubbles in the evenings to play cribbage. The food is always so unique and delicious and the coffee is dang good. Our favorite part of Briar is definitely the fun and knowledgeable staff!

The Briar has it all-- great vibe, warm staff, good food (the breakfast sandwiches!), quality coffee/tea, and inventive cocktails. I just held an event here, and--thanks to the kind and helpful staff-- it went perfectly. All of the guests who attended remarked on the decor, the atmosphere, and the overall awesomeness of the space. I am looking forward to coming back in the warmer months and lounging with a latte on the lovely patio!

What a concept! A place for everything--coffee, tea, cocktails, and food. AND OMG, THANK YOU FOR STAYING OPEN LATE. My coffee comes out the exact same way every time. I value the consistency. It's better and less expensive than every other coffee shop in the city too. The food is excellent. I love the changing menu that is always full of high-caliber rich flavor combos. Staff are just so sweet and warm. The patio is great, but I really wish there were no dogs allowed--especially inside. I just don't get how anyone would think that's sanitary or safe.
This is an awesome little shop for matcha lovers!! One of the best matcha lattes in Minneapolis. The service is also top tier. I'm so happy to have this spot in the neighborhood!

One of the best spots for a.m. coffee and, with the amazing Houndstooth restaurant pop up, also one of the best spots in the cities for p.m. cocktails and small plates! The chef took the time to speak with us about his food choices - it is obvious that he loves what he does - and that translates into lovely, intentional dishes. Lovely ambiance and atmosphere!

It’s a fun quiet neighborhood spot, stopped for a drink and a snack/appetizer. The Houndstooth is the food side in the evenings, a limited menu for now - it all looked good. We had the pickled veggies - very nice. Drinks were good, Service was quick and positive. Would go there again - perhaps in the morning to try the coffee and breakfast.
