I will always recommend Butcher's Tale because the food and cocktails are always a 10/10. If you are lucky, Jake, the general manager, is around and he delivers above and beyond customer experience. My most recent visit was for Pride, and they had the best food of the day. I highly recommend visiting their beer garden when it is in season !!!

Just had an incredible dinner only made better by our waiter Chuck. After a long day we were tired and struggling to make decisions and he took wonderful care of us. His drinks were perfect and his recommendations were the product of his superb listening skills and culinary knowledge. Thank you Chuck. Give that man a raise!

My wife and I spent the day down town and decided to have a nice meal to end the day. We both had the 8 oz filet mignon both were cooked as ordered. My wife tried a drink that she was not to impressed with and our server took it off are tab. The service was excellent one of the nicest dinning experiences we have had in a long time. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

We went on a Tuesday evening and the bar area already had a healthy after work crowd. We were dressed on the casual side so they sat us at one of the booths in the bar section. If you want to be sat in the dining room, remember to dress nicely.

I chose this steakhouse for their Aussie wagyu. While the meat was a lot more tender than my favorite bone-in ribeye from home, I found the flavoring blend and I didn't like that it was served covered in butter oil. I'm of the school that a good piece of steak shouldn't need anything else other than sea salt and maybe pepper. After having had many ribeyes from a number of different steakhouses I discovered that I tend to favor dry aged meat over wet aged meat. Too bad most of the ribeyes I've had seem to have been wet aged.

We wanted to order mashed potatoes but the sour cream was mixed in and we couldn't have it without the sour cream. Many of their side dishes have truffles in it, which not everyone in our party liked. So we opt for the pull-apart roll instead. The mushrooms were delicious but on the salty side.

Over all, the experience was pleasant. The service was good, however, due to what felt like a limited selection of the side dishes due to our preferences, had we been a local we likely would try other steakhouses.

Can’t say enough great things about Butcher’s Tale! We hosted a private event in the Bourbon room and it was perfect. The service was exceptional and the food was a hit! Private bar and staff made it really cool. Such a cool and special space to have an event. Highly recommend!

The Long Rib was OUTSTANDING!! The Tabasco/molasses glaze was just the right amount of spice. They also had a great bourbon selection, I had pours of the Bombergers PFG and Pappy 23 yr.

The filet and cheese cake were also really good and honestly I’m not a huge fan of either normally.

We will be back the next time we visit Minneapolis.

They only do the brunch on Easter, Mother's Day and Father's Day. It was wonderful! The food was delicious and beyond enough! Go hungry and enjoy!

We liked Butcher's Tale, but didn't love it. Best things we had: ribeye, elote, and brussels sprouts. Server was very friendly and helpful. One unfortunate thing -- my son ordered the tuna tartare, which came out on a thick layer of avocado, which he is allergic to. They happily replaced the dish, but it seemed strange to me that avocado wasn't even mentioned in the description. We were at a longer table and the music (mostly 80s) was so loud it could be hard to hear the person at the other end. Maybe our expectations were too high, but overall it just didn't feel very special which was too bad as we were there to celebrate a graduation. For the price, I wouldn't return.

Excellent food. The service, despite the restaurant being rather slow while we were there, was delayed and less attentive than most restaurants. The server took the order, then most of the food was delivered by food runners. The server didn't circle back to ask about drink refills, etc. Based on the food, we will certainly come back.

The food was excellent and the staff were attentive and very professional. I 100% recommend this place.
