It's pricey but unique and delicious. We were in town for college visits for our kids and we all enjoyed the wide steak selection. Something for everyone. The long rib was so flavorful, fall off the bone, with just a nice spice. The server was pretty attentive despite how busy it was. It was very cold when we went but outdoor areas in summer would be great. Noise level is high as expected in a crowded hopping Saturday night restaurant.

Went over the summer. Loved everything but the chicken they had then. Rest of the food and drinks were great. Servers were fantastic

This was a great find! Parking was easy (valet $15). The restaurant was beautiful! Very well appointed with penny coins made into the flooring. Our server, Jonna, was amazing! She was helpful, patient and friendly to us which was great as we were unsure what to order. My son had the Wagyu beef which was phenomenal! I had the seared scallops that had an incredible sauce plus pork belly burnt ends. What an amazing combination of flavors. The buttery toast was like eating a cloud. Would definitely recommend and will return our next trip to Minneapolis.

Carnivore heaven. Omg unforgettable meal. Table of 3 we ordered the sausage sampler (they're all made in house) and the grilled broccolini, the Scallops (best ever) and the pork chop (huge and covered in complimentary yummy things like fire and smoke and cheese and nuts and a purée of something heavenly. Sebastian Joe's ice cream for dessert. It's been nearly 24 hours and I must say I'm still stuffed. Plus we had leftovers, portions are huge! We were very happy here, love the library/ industrial farm chic vibe. Service was epic as always. Will definitely return

Better then the butcher and the boar. Food very consistent, service is excellent, and the space is better in the summer.

Stopped in for an early and impromptu dinner with a friend who was having A Day. She had the tenderloin, I had the sea bass, and we split some mashed potatoes. The food was great and the drinks (Heather’s Heart for her, flight of whiskies for me) were tasty.Better than all of that, though? The service. Our server, Jonna, was attentive, thoughtful, knowledgeable, and sympathetic to my friend’s rough day, and honestly provided a spark of positivity to the evening. Grateful to her and the staff at Butcher’s Tale!

I hosted a business dinner for 20 people. The Butcher's Tale staff treated us extremely well. The food was absolutely fantastic. Unique combinations. Masterfully, and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was fun, relaxing, warm. I could not have picked a better place. My guests congratulated me on the dinner - and in turn I congratulate the staff at The Butcher's Tale for their flawless hosting.

The food and ambiance was great. I was not disappointed by those aspects. My main issue was two things. My wife and I don't drink, and after we politely declined, the waitress became extremely pushy on the rest of the menu, trying to upsell us on our main courses along with ordering extra sides (we had already ordered 2), salads, and deserts. It seemed like we were a waste of her time because we weren't ordering alcoholic beverages. We had spent around $285 for the evening, so it wasn't like we were only ordering the cheapest options. The other was a first for me, which I felt should have been disclosed prior to the bill coming, which was that there was a 5% surcharge on the entire bill. I have not seen this before and was confused as to why there was a surcharge.
