We had a welcoming first time experience at the Capital Grille from the moment we arrived to the excellent valet service! Great place to dine for a theatre night out.
Emily and Russ were great-we had such a nice time on a crappy day. It was needed and appreciated. Thanks again.
Overall great expierence they were a pretty busy which caused a little delay but nothing bad!!
The Capital Grille never disappoints. Shannon was our waitress. She is right on point - she is absolutely amazing. No matter how you order your steaks - they are cooked exactly the way you want. Thank you for the great service and food will be back!
We're never disappointed at Capital Grille. It's a great spot to eat before a show. Bjorn, our waiter, was outstanding!
Great service as always! Food was absolutely delicious. Steaks done to perfection. Cheesecake was amazing!
I made reservations for my birthday and was immediately impressed with the level of preparation and care that went into making me feel welcomed! My server was great, however the food was horrible and made me sick to my stomach. The steak was not prepared to my liking, and the sautéed spinach had a horrible taste. In addition, everything came out under cooked and cold. The food was the only thing that was a complete disappointment!
Starting with Kennedy greeting us we had a great experience for our anniversary. Our server Dustin was excellent giving great food and wine advice. We had tuna and a steak that we shared and it was done perfectly. Compliments to the chef and staff. Well done!
Very reliable for food quality and service. The oysters were excellent. We shared a bone in rib eye and that was plenty of meat. Service was consistent and well done.
I was seated by a woman who was not friendly at all and she informed me that I can only have my reserved table for an hour making the dining experience feel rushed. I did not feel welcomed at all. My steak arrived 50 minutes later, overcooked and dry, when I requested it to be prepared medium. Ordering drinks took longer than usual. My previous experience here was excellent and my server then was kind and knowledgeable. I don't know what changed but this experience was completely awful. Waiting for my steak to be redone took another 30+ minutes. I was late to my next event waiting. I asked them package everything to go. Overall left hungry and disappointed.

The table was ready, the server was knowledgeable, and got us out in time to make it to the show in plenty of time
The porcini crusted ribeye was amazing! We started our meal with a crab and lobster cake full of lobster and crab and no filler. Our steak was complimented with an order of mushrooms and brussel sprouts. Our server, Angel, took great care of us and made excellent recommendations. Did I say the steak was amazing! It was cooked to a perfect medium and so savory, juicy, and flavorful.
This was a really disappointing visit to The Capital Grille. The service and food were not up to the level that we've come to expect there. We sat at our table for 15 minutes before seeing our waiter. He asked for our drink orders without showing the drink menu, then it took about 15 minutes for the drinks to arrive. Mine was the wrong drink, which took another 10 minutes to replace. We were asked to place our orders without hearing about any specials or highlights (thankfully, we overheard another waiter telling the table next to us and we asked about the specific special that caught our attention). We also had long waits for food. The appetizer and salad were served at the same time, which overwhelmed the small table. We then waited 20 minutes between those dishes being cleared and entrees coming out. We basically had to take a few bites of our entrees then ask for boxes because we were out of time and had to get to the theatre. It was also extremely loud in the dining room. We've had many wonderful meals and celebrations here over the years. Hopefully this isn't the new normal.
We always dine here prior to seeing a show at the State Theater. We were attending the opening of Purple Rain and the place was packed. Show 7:30, dinner reservations 5:30. Upon being seated (we had a party of 5) we were immediately asked if we had show reservations. This is always nice as they are super conscientious to ensure you have plenty of time. Overall, everyone loved their food and we got desserts for everyone to share. What I did not like is the servers do not know the specifics of how the kitchen cooks their steaks. I want to know the temperature.... Not warm or pink, what's the temperature. This seems picky, but 140 degrees should be the same on all thermometers, but a warm center is way more ambiguous. I ordered my tendering medium rare + at the recommendation of the server. The middle was dark purple, rare/raw... yuck!! Definitely recommend eating here, just be cautious of how to order the cook on your steak.
Ken was one of the best servers we have ever had the privilege of engaging with. 10 of 10 experience and vibes.
