The Freehouse

Love coming here always, and tonight was top tier. Brian was welcoming from the start, and had excellent menu/pairing knowledge. He made us feel welcome and included in all parts of the Freehouse vibe!

My experience was amazing, Brian was knowledgeable and can make a mean drink!

Had the best time going to the DWTS watch party and having a fun drink and yummy food!! The GM was the sweetest ever and I’m definitely going back!! Lise was brilliant too!! We are really disappointed, because you guys changed the bloodyMary mixed and both of us got sick after our brunch today 😞, which is sad because we love this place.

Came in on a Sunday for brunch around 1030am. We got seated right away without a reservation for 2. The service was kind of slow, it was a little busy. The food was good, ordered the George Washington breakfast sandwich. It had a little hint of spice with avocado and bacon. The atmosphere was fun, full of Vikings fans headed to the game later.

Got the beet salad and rotisserie chicken — it was good! Loved the lemon goat cheese. Paired perfectly with the chicken. It was a little light on the arugula, but other than that, it was a good dish.

Our bartender Brian went above and beyond to make sure my friend and I were having a good time. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and answered our questions thoroughly. He was extremely hospitable and made us laugh! Can’t wait to go back!

My friend and I had an excellent time. Brian took care of us at the bar, helped us for our first visit and even made us a special off-menu drink. We split buffalo cauliflower and a burger. Brian suggested aiolis that I didnt know to order, and the truffle aioli was amazing! If he works every Thursday, this could be our new spot!

Very disappointing experience; I called and set up a reservation that was not kept for a birthday dinner. Called to make a reservation for 7 pm was told that time wasn't available but 6:45 or 7:15 was. If I knew we couldn't make it till 7, somehow I chose 6:45 as our reservation and to be told our table was given away when arriving at 7:15. So they put 12 people at a bar high top made for 8-10 people tops. We of course made due because where else are we going to find a spot for 12 at dinner time on a Friday night. I know we host corporate events there that I feel I may look else where. Servers did their best to accommodate.

Food was okay. Bog standard average bar food. Never in my life at any of hundreds of bars have I been upcharged for ordering whiskey neat before. $2 extra for the whiskey neat is the most ridiculous upcharge I've ever seen. It's literally charging extra to do less work and provide less product.

Mind-Boggling. Would never recommend for that reason. As an aside, in addition to being ill treatment of customers your policies are literally costing your servers and bartenders money as people get pissed off at bullshit upcharges and either don't tip at all or give a reduced tip.

Vibe was weird and dead and they started cranking up lights to get folks to leave at least 15 minutes before closing time. Hours listed on the Google listing are also incorrect by 2 hours.

Very subpar experience. With dozens of other options within blocks, give The Freehouse a miss. Not worth your time or money.

LOVE this place! Jed our server is amazing, both of the hosts are phenomenal. The GM Jolene…. Give her all of the love. That woman leads her team wonderfully and it shows.

I haven’t even tasted the food yet, but there is such an overwhelming floral scent when I walk in. It makes me not even wanna eat here.
