The most disgusting food I have ever tasted. I took one bite of the “chicken” strips and spit it out. I threw the rest away. Do not recommend.

My husband loves everything about this store. Perfect for anyone that enjoys a plant-based diet and or vegan.

As someone who doesn’t usually partake in vegan or vegetarian options, this was a fantastic experience found through DDD.
The meats are spot on for textures and chew, the bread is soft and their cheeses are a great substitution for the real deal.
Would recommend to anyone looking to experience a vegan deli.

Your house made Seitan chicken is amazing. I'm going to make a green curry with the second package I got.

Loved The Italian Cold Cut Sandwich with Pepperoni, Capicola Ham, Pastrami, Mozzarella, pickled cherry peppers, red onion, mayo, dried oregano, oil, vinegar, salt and pepper. I also frequently order by mail Herbie Butcher's Fried Chicken. If I lived in Minneapolis I would eat here everyday.
“Turkey” dill sub was 🔥.
Friendly staff.
No seating, but it was a great meal to take to a brewery.

This is a small local deli-style joint specializing in vegan meats and cheese, also selling some sandwiches, brats, and vegan baked goods as well. I went here for the first time recently and really enjoyed their sriracha bratwurst and also their havarti cheese. I look forward to returning back and trying more items.

frozen fried chickenwas great in the air fryer. Corned beef roast for St. Pats day was great. Breakfast sausage was awesome, I could keep going. Must visit if in Minneapolis
I only make it to mpls 3 times a year. So last week i bought sooo much. The pepperoni is in my truck and i snack on it during the day. The brats are soo good. Jerky lasted my trip back only. The cheese was gone the next day. God bless these people.

Despite “butcher” being in the name, I personally prefer their cheeses—they are some of the best vegan cheese I have ever tried. The dill Havarti and pepper jack are my absolute favorites. I loved them so much that I even shipped a huge package to myself in San Diego. Their premade frozen mac and cheese is also amazing. I have tried their meats before, both from vegan markets in Southern California and from the storefront. Personally, I think their meats are best in a dish rather than eaten alone. We tried the steaks once, and they were just okay—not really steak-like. However, the sandwiches made with their lunch slices are great. My whole non-vegan family loves them and even offered to drive into the city (big offer from my parents!) to pick them up. Their employees are always really kind, and the shop itself is cute. Their website is also easy to use, but as a heads-up, my online orders took a few weeks to arrive. Overall, I love the concept and definitely think it is worth a visit or order. #Veganuary
If this is good vegan/vegetarian than there needs to be a reset. We sampled brats, burgers, meatloaf, bacon, and a pasta salad. The pasta salad had great flavor and texture! All the other items are bland and same flavor profile over and over again. Very disappointed based on the reviews.

I love this place! They are always innovating! Every time I go there is something new! Also I think the concept of having a vegan butcher is so unique! They should definitely expand to Toronto in Canada! We’d be a ton to line up to get some of their products! 👌

I ordered the hot panini to go (obviously) and really enjoyed it. I was only able to eat half of the sandwich and I save the other half for a meal the next day. It was definitely better hot but it was still really good cold.
The only set back is the sandwiches are as listed - no modifications. While I understand this model I would have liked to have been able to add pickles to my sandwich. Nothing that would stop me from coming back and yes, I'll be back.

The selections were incredible. I bought the Korean and Teriyaki Jerkys to try. I'm definitely glad that I did. I am looking forward to ordering from their online store when I get back to San Diego.
