This place is incredible. Food is fresh and authentic. We came back again the next night. Caitlyn and Addie helped us both times and they are fantastic. Will definitely be coming back and I live in Reno.

I had the fish and chips. The fish was so buttery and crispy. One of the best fish and chips I've ever had. The coleslaw was different for me, but good.

This is such a beautiful building, we were so interested in all the fine woodwork and details. We couldn't believe the building wasn't a bank or hotel or something years ago. However, I was a bit let down by the food. The pretzel was good although I'm sure not made in house, and the very spicy mustard just tasted very horseradishy. My Flatbread had good flavor, but I'm sure the Flatbreads aren't made fresh either, it was floppy and chewy.

Love the indoor atmosphere as well as the outdoor seating on Nicollette Mall. The service though was horrible. I had to wait more than 1 hr for my food and the place was not even full. After eating, the server was mía and I had to leave so I had to go to the receptionist to ask for and pay my bill.

Amazing atmosphere. This is a beautiful spot with a great drink selection. But unfortunately the service is unacceptable. Waited 45 minutes at lunch time for a simple sandwich and it never arrived. They need to get their act together if they really want to serve food.

So this review is over a 3 day visit time span. My friend and I were visiting Minneapolis and we stayed downtown. We decided to go here our first night and fell in love. The inside of the local feels like an old pub in Ireland. We kept coming back because the food was delicious, they had non-alcoholic Guinness, and the service was excellent. We only ate there twice but went back for a non-alcoholic Guinness one of the days just to hang out. We tried the cheese curds, the Shepherd’s pies and the Corned Beef Flatbread over 2 visits and all of it was delicious. If you’re staying in downtown Minneapolis give this place a try, you won’t be disappointed.

The Local is an awesome spot to have a quick, quality meal and beer. Service was prompt and friendly, the food was made quickly and fresh. I sat at the bar and felt very much at home. Highly recommend for gatherings with friends or family.

What a great spot! We had a large group that The Local easily and graciously accommodated to celebrate a late St Patties Day, and The Local did not disappoint. Everyone was happy after a round of Irish Car Bombs and Guinness to follow. I got the Cod fish and chips, which was excellent and filling. Others got the Bangers and Mash, the burger, and some other various appetizers, all looking fantastic. Highly recommend!

After my first experience here with the pot roast I would have given it 5-stars. On my second visit I tried the salmon, and realized the quality of their menu items fluctuate a great deal. If you like Irish cuisine, it's worth checking out when in the area.
