This has been nurses breakfast spot after working weekend night shifts for years and unfortunately that has come to an end. It’s a huge bummer that a business would be located right next to a bus stop with zero cameras In a city that has gone completely downhill. Someone tried to break into my car so I have a window that needs to be replaced and they are successful, smashing out a window in another car and stealing a bunch of stuff while we were inside eating.

This used to be a favorite “go-to” (including hosting our groom’s dinner there) but it’s been steadily declining for over a decade. Their menu has gotten more and more generic as time has gone on. Hadn’t been in for months (because of this) and decided to give it another shot for Sunday brunch. Their once inventive and extensive menu is now a single page (one side) and there were only 5 breakfast items (none of which were even an omelet). The rest was boring burgers, chicken sandwiches, a couple salads, etc. The lowlight was the “breakfast potatoes” which were nothing more than fried chunks of previously frozen potatoes with zero seasoning. I am unsure why Blue Plate has decided to remove all character from the menu. I really don’t see myself returning again. Very sad. Thanks for the memories at least.

Casual yet hip atmosphere that transition smoothly from a bright breakfast and brunch spot to a lively evening hangout. Modern take on American comfort food. The fresh oysters are always ago to for me!

Was there a couple of weeks ago, and after informing the server that I had a severe allergy, I was still served a side dish that was in direct contact with the allergen. Just didn't realize it until I was a few bites in. Had to go throw it up in the bathroom. Lots of apologies then, avoided anaphylaxis, assumed at least we'd get a beer comped or something, but didn't even get that. Paid full price to be terrified and puke in the bathroom. Think it's going to be a while until I go back again. Used to visit regularly, but that spooked me a bit too much.

I come here often to have the lobster bisque, its very familiar to me and I always feel taken cared of. The service is great and it’s one of the main reasons why I keep coming back! It’s nice to come and see these familiar faces that are always so kind and attentive! I love that Fillis and Elizabeth are always the one serving our table - they’re great !! They make us feel seen and special

I’ve been here a few times and I only leave reviews when things are perfect or horrible. Tonight at the Lowry was perfect. The food has always been good but in today’s competitive market, service is what sets restaurants apart. Tonight when I visited, Elizabeth was our bartender and she really went above and beyond to provide amazing service while being busy, the drinks she made were perfectly balanced and her genuine personality really stood out. The host was also super attentive and charismatic. Anytime I’m in uptown Minneapolis I’ll make sure to stop by here.

Asked multiple times, to be clear, for crispy hash browns & xtra toasted English muffin for the Eggs Benedict. This simple request didn’t happen. The waitress acted totally oblivious. Breakfast was mushy & cold.
NO reason to ever go to The Lowry again.

A place to grab a bite or relish a good, hearty meal. The Lowry combines sheer sheek with diverse dining. The burgers are delicious and stacked to perfection. Meanwhile, a fusion of steak and perogies tantalizes your taste buds. Combined with attentive service for a unique experience. Will definitely visit again.

Invited for lunch by a friend to this location. Nice place. Seems like a hipster hang out. Decent food, good service. Good menu variety. Parking is on premises.
