Great patio experience. Food was good, but the menu is a bit limited...I spent a lot of time looking it over and nothing really jumped out at me. Ended up with the appetizer sampler as my meal, which was a great decision. Shrimp cocktail, Szechuan green beans and Monte Carlo dry rub wings all were great. Service was good, though I had to ask for drink refills twice which was a bit irksome.
Waitress seemed a bit busy and rushed, which also provided a stressed and rude attitude.
We had an excellent time at Monte Carlo. The service was top notch. We sat at the bar because we did not have a reservation. Ordered the appetizer ribs (tender and juicy) and the tuna guac mix (like a ceviche/guacamole mix has pineapple chucks in it, very very good). Then we ordered the Walleye, and it was my first time trying it. Fantastic flavor. Simply cooked, served with no specific condiments. You get to taste the goodness of this fish. I will definitely go back.
Wings were amazing
My wife and I went for our May 9th anniversary dinner. I have never been before, so I was excited to check out the place. We placed our drink order and it took awhile for them to bring a couple waters and a Coke. When she brought our drinks we knew it was going to be a long wait for everything. So we ordered an appetizer at the same time as our main course. 30 minutes later they brought out our chicken wings to the table next to us how came in 20 minutes after us. So the. We waited another 30 minutes when our wings came. It was only then when the server addressed the chicken wings went to the wrong table. Hearing the next table over smashing chicken wings and the fact the server not once came and topped off our drink, not once while we waited. It really ruined the entire mood. Almost to the point we almost got up to find another place to eat in the North Loop maybe JD Hoyt’s, I’d have to make a reservation at this point. Then our chicken wings showed up when our main corse shows up at the table, something I was tying to avoid. By ordering the app to come before the main corse. During that whole time the server still didn’t come and top off our beverage. My wife asked the server if she could get a refill on her water. The server took my water and poured it into my wife’s glass and just walked away. We just looked at each other, like did that just happen. We go to various steak houses and dinner spots around the Metro area. We have never had that worse of service. That was the cherry on top at the point. I just said to myself I will never come back here again. The food was fine but after the vibe is what did it for us. I maybe have tipped $2.00 and as afterthought o felt I should have left no tip at all.
Worst Caesar salad I’ve ever had. The rest of the food was sub par at best. Great atmosphere though. Would come back for a drink…definitely not for food!!
Cocktails and wings, what else could you ask for!!
Everyone recommended the dry rub wings, so we had to stop on for a try... glad we did! Wings were fantastic (we did half order), great flavor, juicy and good size. We ate at the bar and just love our bartender. A few cocktails later, I can't recommend this place more.
Olivea the best waitress in town. The potato salad is wonderful. I tell everyone to come here.

The establishment was fine overall. My family enjoyed their dining experience. Myself I ended up with food poisoning from the Ahi Mahi fish sandwich I had the evening we were there. I know it was the fish since it was the only thing I had that day and nobody else in my party had eaten it.

The staff are fantastic! Food is top notch! Exceptional chicken soup and the Szechuan Green Beans are sublime! Only criticism, and it is minor; please bring back the lavosh! Best place to bring visitors for an authentic Minneapolis experience!
