The atmosphere is good, not too loud. The food was good, there was an issue with the pork chop and rareness but it was quickly resolved, it was a good experience.

The layout and decor of The News Room was fun! The food was tasty (we had the burgers and the burrata cheese appetizer. Despite the burgers being "done" when we asked for medium, they had good flavor. It was pretty quiet people-wise while were there but we were located near a speaker and the music was a bit louder than we would have liked. Overall, though, great place!

Great experience at The Newsroom once again. A favorite place to go before shows because we always have prompt service, a leisurely meal and a short walk to the theatre. Food and drinks outstanding.

The food was decent but the weight was far too long! For dessert, we got the Apple bread pudding, it was excellent! Overall, the service was great besides the wait, I'll give them another try...

The day we went to The News Room was our very first time/night in Minneapolis. We weren't familiar with the area and chose this establishment on line, ahead of our arrival. When we entered the restaurant, we didn't feel the love. The host was very rushed and treated us like we were 5 years old. When we started walking through the restaurant we asked to sit in the bar area. But we were shut down and scolded by the ungracious host that we had a choice of only 2 tables that were next to each other in the dining room even though there were empty booths in the bar area. We were going to leave but decided to stay since we were travelling all day. I ordered the chopped salad with blackened chicken. I recieved the chopped salad with cold Cajun chicken. The food was tasty but at that point it didnt matter. The experience was just lacking so much in customer service. There are so many choices in Downtown Minneapolis. Don't make the same mistake we did. Go someplace else.

We were there on a Sunday afternoon at 12:30. There were very few patrons, the service was very slow I had to beg for another glass of water. The server was friendly, but was more interested in talking with her coworkers than serving the customers in the timely manner. The food was adequate nothing to write home about. Overpriced for what you got.

Food was not good but my buddy did get the burger and said it was good. I ordered chicken and waffles and I’d highly recommend against it even if they staff recommended it to you. It’s soggy, not much flavor, not much portions, chicken is fatty as hell. Just get a burger. They should take the chicken and waffles off the menu.

The food was great for me, half our table of 4 liked their food the other thought it was bland. The service was ok. Didn't really come and check on us and we had to look for them for the dessert menu. Service was extremely slow considering there was no one there.

My friend and I made a reservation for dinner before attending a show at the Dakota. Great spot and the menu and pricing weren't bad. We sat at the bar before being sat at our table and the bartender was amazing. However our server was not. We were told she was busy which was understandable but she paid us little to zero attention. We will go back but hope we don't have the same server.
Our friends recommended this restaurant and we're glad they did. The restaurant decor is that of Newspapers and very cool. The menu was extensive and everyone enjoyed their meal. Our Server was attentive and the atmosphere was fun.
