Every valentines day my husband and I try a new steak restaurant. We love steak amd I couldnt cook it
In 2021 we could not go out for steak due to covid. Sample room had a take and bake meal with clear instructions. It was a great meal with baby steaks and veggies etc. But since that day I am not afraid to cook steak because of the precise instructions. They gave me what I needed.
It's now 2024 and I rock at cooking steak.

They also have a great vibe and great charcuterie so you should go

The fried Brussels sprouts are the only thing I would recommend at this restaurant. Three of us in the party ordered the burger - I asked for it medium and it came out 90% raw. It was very unfortunate to see such a fun restaurant serve terrible food.

This is a great place to catch a meal. It is not very big so if you are going later on a Saturday, reservations would be the way to go.
Dietary restrictions: They were able to meet my gluten free needs without sacrificing taste. No stomach issues here. I took my friends word for the non GF items. There are other items on the menu not listed above.
Parking: We had a high top this time for 4 adults.
Love this place, went back again three days later. Always thought of it as a swanky restaurant didn’t know it also had a laid back feeling at the bar. Owner lets the chef own the menu and everybody seemed to really enjoy working there. Best hash browns in town surprisingly and I didn’t even want a breakfast meal: menu really sold it. Bill was surprisingly lower than I thought, with no pesky fees.

I just had the most magnificent meal: tenderloin of camel. It was paired with vegetables that I normally wouldn't eat, but they were in perfect harmony with the tender and juicy meat. I don't expect this to be on the menu for long, so I'll be back soon to have it again.
I've been to Sample Room many times and usually receive top notch service. I had this meal on a busy Friday night, so it took a while to get served. Well worth the wait.
Parking: The parking lot is tiny, but there's plenty of street parking.
Not a ton of vegetarian options and most small plates are fried. Mushroom cakes needed salt or more seasoning. Not a lot of fresh options which is a shame with summer produce.

I haven’t been here in 10 years. Was pleasantly surprised. The food was great. Perfect patio. Great service. Menu small but creative. It’s in my neighborhood, gotta come more often
