Stopped in for a dozen donuts to give as a gift, and one extra for a dessert craving wife. Was met with 12 amazing looking donuts, a very cool guy working the register and a 10/10 mango iced donut with pineapple jelly. Would give 6 stars if I could, and they earned an absolute repeat customer.

I ordered a Van Halen themed birthday cake and they nailed the logo I requested for the top. It was a German chocolate cake with cherry filling. So so so delicious. Great customer service and high-quality craftsmanship by the Thirsty Whale staff.

I was lucky enough to have two cakes from thirsty whale and they executed the vision PERFECTLY on both and were so good about checking in with me and made the payment process super easy!The sponge was delicious and the fudge in the center was incredible! Cant wait to order many more goodies from them in the future and also try their peanut butter buddy cookies!!!

So grateful for the Thirsty Whale! Needed a Star Wars themed birthday cake last minute. Because it was short notice, they told me it would be “simple,” but this exceeded my expectations & everyone loved it. Highly recommend!

Always great. As of 2-20-24 i would confirm if they are open. Last i know os they are going thru a transition.Parking: If you can't find a spot on the street, Drive around to the back and they have a big area to park.

Just FYI the entire staff is new from the previous ownership, including new bakers. Donut was fine. Cupcakes were a SERIOUS decline in quality compared to the previous bakers. Bummer because this place used to be a gem. Hoping the new ownership can figure it out but I won't be stopping back in anytime soon.

Probably the best donuts that we have had in the twin cities, hands down. My wife and I were looking for a new shop to try that we’d never been to before, and we saw this place had some pretty good reviews, and they are 100% deserved. The gentleman behind the counter that helped us was genuinely excited to have us in their shop, and about their products. He walked us through every donut they had, and gave us his recommendations. There was also a donut that they were “testing out” that had a pineapple filling that was extraordinary. It was topped with a mango icing and white chocolate flakes. Keep working on that, because that pineapple filling needs to be featured in a donut for sure. I’ll be back on a monthly cadence for the maple bacon donut, because the filling inside of that thing just might possibly be the key to world peace. Great bakery.

And I don't know how I found out that someone saved the day but as soon as I could I went in there to try them out finally... Turns out I AM a donut guy. I was just waiting for someone to make a key lime pie donut and they did it so diabetes here I come!

We were so excited when we learned Thirsty Whale would reopen although with new owners, the same bakers would remain. Well... I recently went to the bakery to buy donuts for my daughter and the original bakers are not there any longer and you can tell. Her donut was dry, appeared hard and not enjoyable. So be aware the name may be the same but the recipes or bakers/designers are not. I hope they can survive in our local community but they need to bring back the original bakers.
