I ate here about 1yr ago and portion of food size was very small. I ordered 2 beyond meat in pretzel burger with fries. When I received my bill it was $70-80. I was very confused asked the server why that price when burger was only like ~16-$20. They said as everything was separately charged including regular fries. I got charged $1 each for the veggies, and sauces :S never have I paid for a burger $20 without sauce n veggies that were extra and it did not say that on the menu. Also they charged me gratuity and did not give me my receipt. They said I would get it after payment so I tipped them about 15-20%. When I received my receipt turns out they already charged me gratuity. The server did not mention that so I double tipped! Also burger was half the size of a regular beyond meat. I have beyond meat at home and the burger is not half the size. It felt like they took beyond meat, halved it to give two customers. It was flat and small. Like the size of a slice of small tomato. Has anyone seen beyond meat burger that size? They are pretty big! Anyhow, never went back. I felt that was pretty fraudulent to do to a new customer or any customer. I rather eat a $20 burger at so many other vegan spots where they are not charging you extra for ketchup. And that don’t cheat you with payment and food portion. I mostly only eat at vegan places as a vegetarian and this was the first time this ever happened to me. Not sure if it was due to some new server but also food portion would be the fault of the business. And I rarely even write reviews. First time I was disappointed in minneapolis.

when i tell you this food was so good that i couldn’t stop eating until it came back up into my mouth, i MEAN it!! i got the jackfruit catfish and it had me levitating while i was eating it. don’t even get me started on the ranch and the mac and cheese. the kind woman taking our order was real helpful and whoever is running the aux can get it 😭😭 . the food is a little on the spender side, but you’re eating plant based so you should know what you’re dealing with. anyways as im writing this my stomach is making some bubbling noises rn, and its making me a little nervous but atleast i got some good food inside of me. would go again

I used to love Trio, I order it pretty often since I live nearby. Lately they’ve been so inconsistent. I always get the Lou Wrap, and the size of the wrap varies a lot. Sometimes it’s half the size of other times. They didn’t have the sauce last time, and just made it anyway so it was super dry. This time they changed the fries and they’re so bad I can’t even eat them. I prefer Francis for burgers, wraps, and fries, and won’t be getting Trio for those things anymore.

The atmosphere and staff are great, but then food outshines it all!! My only regret is that I didn’t get to go more often during my time in MN. I will be back every time I’m in town because this place is that great!

The vegan chicken salad was pretty good — a bit over-fried but very tasty. Service was fast and the restaurant environment was very quiet and relaxing. The parking nearby was very inexpensive, too, which was a nice plus.
Great spot for lunch and more, all plant based and a chance to support the neighborhood and not another chain.

The food here is interesting and different. No one else does soul food. I used to order it a lot as a new vegan, but I’ve since found food I’ve liked better for cheaper elsewhere. I would love to try more things on the menu, but every time I go, they are out of multiple items.

Had a wonderful dining experience at Trio! We had the cauliflower wings, walnut taco salad, and fiesta burger. Everything was so fresh and delicious! Highly recommend!
