This has been one of my favorite bakery and breakfast spots for years! All of their homemade pastries and bread as well as the sandwiches are delicious.

Weak in every way.

Been a customer here for years. Bought breads, cookies to take home. Recently bought some cookies and opened the two days later and they were rock hard and stale. Figured I’d return them for a new package. No problem. Manager told me I couldn’t exchange them because they were bought three days earlier. Told her I’ll shop somewhere else. She didn’t seem to care. They lost a life long customer over $13.

Everything here is spectacular - can’t go wrong! Affordable, casual, great food and great staff. There’s a reason they’ve been in business for so long!

Nasty food and service

The best is just a few rolls, butter and coffee. Oops, the tomato baisel bisque is tops too. One of my favorite hangouts I the twin cities.

I love turtle bread and have been going since I was a kid. It’s a Minneapolis institution. But I have recently seen someone(at first I thought the manager but I now I think the owner?) yelling at or talking down to the staff in a way that is shocking. Especially in front of guests. Anyway I love turtle bread but it completely ruins the experience. The staff are great and so sweet. I hope you guys are doing ok!

Very bad experience. The eggs benedicts were cooked all the way through. Service was bad. Very disappointed.

Wasn't welcoming at all... got a terrible vibe before walking in. So I went across the street to Sovereign Grounds. Who had fantastic service plus the food and drink were delicious.

They were so great there, the waitress was really nice and the service was great! 👍 I got a breakfast sandwich and some orange juice with a side of potatoes. It was great, highly recommend.

Service and food were ok, but the place was LOUD. There were no sound deadening materials or measures taken when the restaurant was designed. There were only around a dozen people when I was there and it was quieter on the street. Painfully loud restaurant.

This place was just what I was looking for on a Sunday evening. Spacious and tons of seating available. Cool open concept with the bakery portion openly visible. It's quite loud though, since it's a large space.
