We had a very disappointing experience with Umbra. My daughter went to celebrate her 18th birthday with nine friends (ages 16–18). After they were seated, they were told that the restaurant would only allow one tab for the entire table. At that age, this was stressful and unrealistic for a group of teenagers. I called to speak with the manager, hoping for a reasonable solution. At first, she was rude and refused to help, saying it was their policy and that they would not “waver.” Only after I expressed my concern did she suddenly change her tone and say she would work with the girls, for which I was thankful. Unfortunately, the situation only got worse. The manager later made the girls very uncomfortable by telling them that I had been rude and yelling at her on the phone, which was not true. I was frustrated, but I did not yell. This made the girls feel insecure and awkward during what was supposed to be a happy birthday celebration. To make matters worse, the bill was not split, and one girl was forced to pay for the entire meal. This experience showed poor leadership, poor communication, and poor management. A restaurant should never make young guests feel uncomfortable, especially during a special occasion. We will not be returning.
The contact us in their website doesn’t even work!!!!
I would Like a refund.
I had probably the worst service I’ve ever had in a dining experience today at 1 o’clock for a five people party.
When I arrived, nobody greeted me and nobody asked for reservations, which fine we finally went up to the bar and ask where they would like us to sit, it took them an hour and a half to get our food. And this place was COMPLETELY empty. I got the prosciutto flatbread and it had one piece of cut up, Prosciutto on it seemed such bad quality. And then when the server finally delivered the food, she asked if there’s anything that she could grab for us I asked for ranch and another girl asked for ketchup, and she couldn’t even bring that to us. Again, the restaurant was completely empty Our reservation was at 1 and as I’m sure you can see the food was delivered at 2:30? Very frustrating experience and I would definitely like to be refunded. Would NOOOOOOOT recommend for any reason

The decor was devine!!! Jade the bartender was very knowledgeable about the menu! And has amazing cocktail experience every cocktail she served me and other patrons were gorgeous and looked delicious! I had her special espresso martini and a made up on the spot cocktail of her own creation! To the T of what I was looking for without me fully knowing what I was looking for! She asked for my favorite spirit and a base line of my flavor profile and everything to the food and drinks were amazing!! Ask for Jade when you come in!!

We stopped after the Christmas Carol at the Guthrie, in support of Umbra’s support of the Guthrie. No one would wait on us! Plenty of staff just hanging around not waiting on us or even making eye contact. Left still thirsty. Made drinks at home.

I rarely leave reviews, but my experience here was so disappointing that I felt compelled to share it. This was, without question, one of the top five worst dining experiences I’ve ever had.
I ordered the Chicken Sandwich with a side of Broccolini but was mistakenly served the Smash Burger instead. No problem, I politely sent it back and waited for the correct order. While waiting, I tried the broccolini, which was so undercooked it was practically raw. I sent that back as well and requested fries instead.
When the Chicken Sandwich finally arrived, I immediately noticed it was overcooked. The batter was extremely dark/burnt in several spots, and even the chicken beneath was dry and discolored. Against my better judgment, I took a small bite just to be sure I wasn’t overreacting, but it tasted exactly how it looked: burnt and inedible.
I told the bartender that if this is how they serve the dish, it should be removed from the menu because it was truly awful. His only response was, “I’ll let the chef know,” with no apology or offer to remove it from the bill.
As someone who travels frequently, I make a point to support local restaurants rather than chains, but this experience made me regret that choice. It left me heading straight for the nearest chain restaurant just to ensure a decent meal.

Had breakfast and dinner. Both were not satisfactory. The meatball was hard and could not even cut with my knife. The wings were dry and appeared to have been pre-cooked and then re warmed in an oven. Tomatoes on our salads were frozen.

Had dinner on a Thursday night and it wasn’t too busy but we did make a reservation to be safe. We were seated right away. The service was a bit slow. We ordered the Arancini to start which was very good. I loved the sauce. For my entrèe I ordered the walleye. It was fine. It came out lukewarm but again with the slow service I just didn’t have the energy to send it back. Overall it was just fine.

I had a cup of white bean chili. It was tasty. Not very chunky though. I ordered the Ritz cracker crusted walleye. It was done perfectly. The Ritz breading was crisp. The walleye was nice and steamy. Very good! Wait staff were friendly and prompt. Overall a good dining experience.

I rarely leave reviews, but I felt like I had to. This was for restaurant week, Oct 2025.
My wife and I walked in at 12:20 pm for a 12:30 reservation. The place was completely empty. We stood at the host stand extremely confused until a kind employee at the bar greeted us. We got sat in the corner and then waited 10 minutes to get greeted. We booked for restaurant week (the lunch menu specifically) until we were told that restaurant week was over. The kind employee replied that the chef said restaurant week ended yesterday (Friday). My wife showed her the website and I said we booked through it for lunch. She went back to talk to the chef and then confirmed that their lunch menu wasn’t available, only regular brunch, and if we wanted restaurant week we had to wait for 5 pm dinner. There was no mention of this on the menus or website when I booked. My wife and I left without purchasing anything. The employee was nice and apologetic but we will not be returning.

So delicious!! The charcuterie board was amazing and huge. More than enough for 3 people. The caprese flatbread was the best pizza/flatbread I've ever had. This place should have a higher review!
