Very interesting that they didn’t check underneath my two lighter skinned friends hats but checked mine who’s darker skinned. Do better security with your biases.
Place wasn’t the best bathroom was disgusting drinks over priced for the way they tasted one bartender was awesome but the others not so much seems like they would let anybody in some seemed too young to be in there way to young not a great experience
I love coming here. Nice to hang out.

First and very last
I miss the Uptown Drink! And all the other bars pre 2020
This place is a vibe!
THIS is what you tru replace Uptown Tavern with!?! What a damn joke lol. I'm so glad I moved in 2020 right before COVID. Uptown is dead 💯

I used to LOVE this place… and then they started charging $20 covers at 10pm. 1 coors light cost $9, just preposterous that they’d charge a cover. I used to be here consistently but I will not be back until they fix the cover, just not worth the money.

$20 to get into the worst bar in the cities? Music was bad, vibe was off. No one here, wonder why…
Ties rooftop lounge has been converted into Kiss Lounge and rooftop and it was a refreshing upgrade. There is a different age demographic on each floor. Thankfully there was a 30 plus crowd on the rooftop and the DJ was awesome on the top floor and the main floor. The drinks are great also. Unfortunately when you pay with the card to get in it was almost $25 which was extremely steep.
For May 9th to be Kiss Lounge and Rooftop's first night open after closing down the old Ties Longue and Rooftop (y'all really didn't think about rebranding because everything is the same), I will say that their first night was underwhelming and quiet upsetting. Here were my two main issues with Kiss last night:
First of all, I don't mind paying a cover charge for a club, but for a lounge and rooftop is kind of ridiculous especially when it's $20.00 + $4.65 (processing fee) if you use your card. I find this part to be dishonest because no where in the front is it explained that you'll be charged an additional fee for using your card. I'd love to speak with management about this because I want my money back based on principal. Next time, have something outside that say's this so people do not feel scammed because if I ever do come here again, you can for sure bet that I will have cash.
Second, the DJ they had was horrible. I did not pay $25.00 to simply hear a DJ play music off of his Spotify playlist. The man they had did not mix the music at all! He literally played the entire song until the almost end of it. Additionally, he played the same artists music the entire night. I do not care to hear SexxyRedd my entire night outside. Kiss needs to find an actual DJ that knows what he's doing because they make or break the nighttime environment.
Kiss needs to invest in a better Social Media Manager because the marketing for the re-opening of their establishment has by far been lackluster. Obviously, many people have issue with this establishment being in this area due to the violence from people who cannot be adults, but I think Kiss can actually make something for themselves if they tried re-thinking their social media strategy. Many people like myself are looking for a rooftop this summer and it would be nice to kick it here.
Outside of my two main issues, the food is actually pretty good for it being lounge food.
$24 for a cover? $10 for a Truly? Cool concept but yeah no. Not coming back
Uptown is a dying neighborhood in Minneapolis and they’re trying to charge $20 to get in. I can go to a packed bar anywhere else for free or a cover charge less than that. Daisy’s charges the same thing, not sure how they expect to keep the neighborhood and that corner lit with those prices.
