Great beer and cool place!
Very large brewery & staff super friendly.
Nice large venue both the indoors and patio. Their beer menu is more traditional/European styles, which is my preference.
They have an outdoor ordering window and indoor ordering lane which helps reduce the awkward talking over someone’s shoulder type ordering many bars have.
The hefe-mosa and witbier were my favorite.
We hosted a fundraiser event in Bay 10 with a silent auction. The staff at Utepils was super helpful and accommodating. Our bartender, Taylor, was awesome. We enjoyed the space, and the beer. It worked well for our event and we hope to be back next year! The owners even stopped by to check on us, which was very thoughtful! Thanks Utepils for all you did to help make our event a success!!
One of my favorite breweries in the Twin Cities. Super big with plenty of fun seating areas. They have some fun events year round
Great place to stop when you’re biking the Grand Rounds. It has the best beer garden in the Twin Cities nestled along Bassett Creek. Good beer selection and often food truck.
Great beer, excellent interior design. Even better back yard.
Great beer, great atmosphere
This place was high on my list of places to visit while in Minneapolis. With a name like that, any Norwegian would be curious😄
And I was not dissapointed.
The location is spacious, with plenty of indoor seating, bar seating (including a small stage for live music), and a beautiful backyard area with lots of seating, including some cozy chairs facing the river.
It was absolutely lovely sitting there in the sun, enjoying a utepils!
There’s a large bar with a wide variety of beers on tap, as well as hard seltzers and non-alcoholic options.
The brewery offers a great range of beer styles, including several German-style brews, which was a fun and refreshing change. It’s nice to visit a brewery where the selection isn’t dominated by just one trendy style.
You can also get beer flights here, and this place has one of the coolest flight presentations I’ve seen: a pair of half-skis holding five beers each.
My favorite was the Hoppestokk, a 5.6% ABV lager — but honestly, all the beers were tasty and well made!
There’s a solid selection of beers to-go, plus some great merch including glassware, T-shirts, and more. I picked up a cool T-shirt and a few stickers.
While the brewery might seem to be a bit outside downtown, it’s easily accessible by bus plus a short walk. I’d highly recommend a visit to Utepils Brewing!
It is a lovely location with a lot of history.

Amazing!
The best brewery in Minneapolis, large open indoor space and large beer garden with a huge fire pit for fall and winter. Large line up of great beers. Great food trucks everyday. Trivia on Wednesday nights. Cribbage tournament Thursday night. Pool table. German beer.
We hosted our rehearsal dinner at Utepils in their Bay 10 space and it turned out exactly how we were hoping! The space was perfect for our 65 guests and Michaela, the event coordinator, was wonderful to work with. I would absolutely recommend using the Bay 10 space at Utepils!
Great space and even better beer
This Utepils Spring Bock is the best bock beer made in America I’ve ever had. Einbecker Ur-bock ist mal mein Lieblingsbier!
