Excellent flavor, high price. I don't know if it's because of the area

So my friend told me about this little unassuming taco joint, and I decided to try it. Omg, the food is on point! Tastes like homemade. The ladies were very sweet and enjoyable. I was nervous at first because it's tiny and dated, but the food is amazing, and the sauce they give you on the side is so good. Two tacos, a tamale and a drink, only cost me $12! You don't find these prices anymore. I'll be back and I'm bringing friends!

The perfect place for a quick snack. The tortillas are out of this world, and so are the carnitas. Got to practice my Spanish with the lovely lady at the register, and we both had a good time :) would highly recommend

This place is absolute ???!!! The best tacos I have had in the twin cities. Do not be fooled by its modest appearance or limited seating. This places deserves waaay more love than just 4.5 stars. The meat is fresh from the carniceria next door and the tortillas are soft but hold to the last bite. 5 stars in my book!!!Also, the two sauces on the photo are worth the trip to Valerie’s. They sell them as well so just ask. You are welcome.

Parking: Street parking. Usually busy.

Kid-friendliness: Seating is challenging. If you have kids it is best to get take out.

Wheelchair accessibility: Not wheelchair accesible.

Our favorite dishes are the chicken (pollo) street tacos and carne asada (beef) street tacos. We usually get 3-5 per person. The meat is always seasoned so well, you can taste the love and care that goes into it.I could also subsist entirely on the green and red salsa- it’s so good!5 stars for atmosphere because this lil place it’s a Taqueria and it is EXACTLY what it advertises to be.When we moved from Phoenix we were worried we would lose our access to street tacos - but Valerie’s fills that void in our hearts and stomachs!

Everything about the tacos is amazing. One of the best in the cities. Each of the meat options is flavorful and distinct. They must make the tortillas in house because they were really soft and delicious. Tortilla quality is usually not something I make a note of but these are great. Both the orange and green sauce are amazing as well.

They lost my order but I was in no rush and they whipped it up and when I wanted to order a jamaica (drinks didn't show up online?) they gave it to me more free. Food was amazing finally a good taco spot next to me. Muchos gracias amigas. I'll be back for more lengua!

The food is cooked in sight when you order, always fresh and delicious. They will give you lots of delicious salsas with your order. There’s very limited indoor counter seating, so I recommend getting take out. I only wish they were open later in the evening!

I've been CRAVING tamales all week and this place satisfied my craving. The staff was very friendly and patient, with an easy to look through menu. I had the chicken and pork tamales and the meat was soft, flavorful, well seasoned and fell apart at the touch of a fork. The horchata was yummy and cold. I'll be back for seconds!!

Love this place!! The food is extraordinary, and the people are so nice and friendly. Try the quesadillas! It's busy but they are very fast so you don't have to wait.
