Stopped by on our biking around town. Minus a star for not having a bike park/spot and ran out of matcha in the early a.m. other than that, this is a good place to havve a morning coffee/tea break on the weekend. Had ube latte, cold vanilla latte pair with bogarts donuts and Marc heu’s chocolate pistachio croissant (available on the weekends only).

I climbed over construction equipment for a coffee shop that doesn't open until 8:30 AM on a Tuesday?!
Used to live closer and enjoyed this spot but in recent visits the quality of the coffee has declined and the service has gotten slower. I now see the hours have also gotten more limited. I'm aware of the challenges in the industry but at this point I'll go elsewhere.

An impromptu rainstorm derailed my plans outdoors. All other tea stores were. Closed but this was available. Parking being available was another story. Part of why I don't come this way is dealing with parking. If you have time, just drive around a bit and you'll find something. I found out from the barista that the owner of the shop sources his own tea. That’s quite impressive for a coffee shop. Granted I don’t visit coffee shops but maybe 3 times a year so maybe it’s more of speciality coffee shop thing. Yellow tea is something I would generally avoid in a shop but seeing his set up and being allowed to actually see the leaves so I could grade and write tasting notes was a huge plus. The Mao Feng is very nice. Well done on your sourcing Mr. Andrews.

It was fine. They said they didn’t want to turn on the oven to warm up food because it made it warm inside after saying they would. Idk why you’d have that option if you don’t want to do it.
I walked in with a plan and they delivered. It was delicious my first time here. I had made up an iced coffee on my way over they didn't have all the ingredients for what was in my head but it was so much better with black honey, sea salt and cinnamon iced coffee. So good wish I ordered two

If you see a sticky note with “bubble breaks” on it just don’t even bother.
The one barista working was presumably outside smoking a cigarette for over 10 minutes. A line of people was forming with no worker in site…Coffee is good , but what’s going on?? We wanted to grab another drink before leaving and guess what…no-one in sight, yet again. There was an entire disgruntled family w/ 4 toddlers waiting in line ( for another 10 minutes) that just left after no-one showed up at the bar . We didn’t even get our second drink either. As we walked to our bikes we saw the barista chatting and smoking a cig. What kind of shop are y’all running? I’ve been once before and it was great, hopefully just a bad hangover for the barista that day 🤒
Really great experience with the gal behind the counter. She made a great latte and didn’t mind that I didn’t feel like talking early in the morning. Nice, quiet spot.
Wish more baristas were like her. Cool goth girl vibe, gorg dark lipstick, and clearly knew what she was doing. Will be back!

These fine folks are welcoming, and make a helluva cup of coffee. I would name names but there's no real point when service is so consistent.

This is one of my favorite spots in Minneapolis and definitely my favorite coffee shop. Because it’s so much more than a coffee shop. Businesses come and go, but it’s far too uncommon for businesses to operate like Wesley Andrews does. It’s a genuinely great space, owned and run by fantastic and kind people and DUH the coffee is top tier. I particularly appreciate that I feel safe and seen as a transmasc fat person in the space. It’s not often that you can confidently walk into a business and know that you won’t be met with bigotry and prejudice. So, thank you Wesley Andrews and every person that keeps this place running. May your coffee be great and your conversations even better 🩵

Terrible experience hands down. I’m in town with my family (husband and two boys) from Dallas, as an avid coffee shop goer and small business owner I was so excited to try coffee shop! I usually am in my own world and don’t do “vibe checks” or pay much attention to my surroundings but I cannot believe the awkward and uncomfortable atmosphere created by the employee there!. We walked in and there was no greeting which is…. Fine. I think it was just noticeable because there was no one there besides one person. It clearly was intentional avoidance. I actually couldn’t believe he was ignoring us. I stared at the menu on the wall that took me a bit to find bc we’ve never been there. I could feel he was annoyed or just rude. We stared at each other and I managed to say hi! And he completely disregarded me…in hindsight I’m annoyed I even said hi first lol I feel like I was being punked, because he was a gothic looking dude, crazy hair, smelled like he hadn’t bathed, black lipstick, the whole cosplay costume. My husband and I finally decided we didn’t want our money to go to this place and we walked out. Too bad, I bet the coffee is good! Just not worth the expense and experience.
