I haven't had the food as I usually just come for drinks, but I haven't enjoyed my last few visits as much. At one point it became too hard to talk to someone sitting across the table from me even while we were yelling and the waitress looked annoyed whenever she talked to us.

Maybe just an off couple of nights but regardless I'll think twice before coming again, although I think I will eventually give it another shot.

Open mic jazz on Tuesday nights and a blues open mic on Wednesday nights are organized with some great players from all walks of life. Great atmosphere!

Best Cubano I’ve ever had. Anywhere, ever. Try it. It’s amazing. My wife had the walleye sandwich. Also top-notch.

For an old bar this is some of the best food around. And they serve late.

For those interested, they have pull tabs and e-tabs. Cozy, local joint with good music and friendly people.

Been here for generations - one of Minneapolis‘s most storied institutions.
