I came here last Friday night for a girls night out and the vibe was great — I really wanted to keep supporting this place. But what killed it for me was noticing they added an extra $2 in tips on my card after I already tipped. I have my receipt, so I know what I’ve tipped and authorized as I keep track of all transactions. I don’t ever leave reviews but here we are.
That’s not a “mistake,” that’s just being greedy. Loved the energy of the place but if you’re gonna round up people’s checks behind their backs and assume they won’t notice a dollar or two here, that’s a hard no from me. Be sure to take a picture of the original receipt you've signed and your copy for any restaurant you visit in general.

I stopped in for a quick drink and had Cheyenne for my bartender. I absolutely loved him. His energy was amazing, perfect customer service, and he made my experience so much fun! I will definitely be back!
This was a great place for cocktails I really enjoyed it.

Beware!!!
I finally had the opportunity to experience Wild Child. The food and the music were a great vibe, but my credit card was stolen from this establishment. I had $200.00 worth of charges on my credit card the next morning. I stopped by to speak with the manager, but she was not available, and they don't have any contact information or a website. Please enjoy yourself here at Wild Child, but also watch your surroundings.

I was in Minneapolis for a few months for a work related trip. Me and some friends stumbled upon WldChild by accident. First & foremost, its black owned ✅. Not only was the ambiance a 10, the food and drinks were ALWAYS on point. Make sure you get that Paradise off the cocktail menu and pair it with the burger. You can thank me later. Super appreciative to Pat (bartender) who was super attentive, made us all feel extremely welcome and overall gave us a place to be regulars at. If there was anything that REALLY kept us going back, it was Pat….and that burger. Make sure you tune in on Wednesdays where they’ll usually have a live band playing.

If you want to sit and drink, this is the place for you! If you want a dance floor and space turn around at the door immediately!

Stopped in for a couple of cocktails. Unfortunately, the drink menu that they had was smaller and less appealing than the menu posted online. Ended up ordering a few classic cocktails like an old fashioned and a negroni, which were just okay. Was a bit disappointing to be honest.
The atmosphere was cool, service was decent. We didn't get any food, but what we saw looked tasty.

My friend and I were excited to try this place, especially since it is a black owned establishment. I showed up a little before 6 hoping to get in before it was crowded. We were meeting up for food, drinks and conversation. When I arrived there were 2 tables seated. I waited a minute or 2 by the door since I wasn't sure if I should seat myself or wait to be seated. Our server came and greeted me and let me know I could choose a table. I sat and my friend walked in shortly after. As soon as my friend sat the server was at the table to take drink orders. We both felt rushed as my friend didn't even have a chance to look at the menu. I feel like its standard to introduce yourself and briefly go over the menu with patrons. She wasn't blatantly rude but she wasn't the friendliest either. The vibes were just off. We ordered the prickly pear margaritas. The margaritas were good. I believe the menu price was $16 but we may have gotten a happy hour price because we paid $13 something per drink. I also did not do my research before going and wrongly assumed it was a restaurant. I was not impressed by the menu but when our server came back to our table we ordered a second round and I asked for an order of wings($20) I counted 11 but let's say there were 12 wings. She grabbed our glasses from the table and walked away. My friend and I made a little comment about her snatching our glasses before we were done. It wasn't really a big deal, there was like half a sip left but it was my half a sip I paid for. We finished our second round, our server came to take our payment. We asked to split the bill. She asked who had the wings. The wings were sitting right in front of me. We let her know I would be the one paying for the wings. To which she replied she could only split it down the middle. Ok, whatever. She left the tablet at the table with us so we could tip. I ate half the wings and planned on taking the other half home but we both really needed to use the restroom. When we were exiting the restroom she let us know that my card didn't go through so I gave her my card again. I asked for a box for my wings but she had already went back to the restaurant area so I'm assuming she didn't hear me. We go back out and notice the table had been cleaned. I was disappointed but just took my loss. We were just ready to leave. A few minutes later I noticed I had been charged twice. I looked for a number to call but could not find one. I went back in to have the error rectified. I spoke with Pat who let her know what the issue was. She realized that the payment on my friends card didn't go through and asked for her to come in or have her cashapp/venmo me the difference. She offered me a shot as an apology. Pat asked me to return for a better experience i let him know I was off put by my visit and likely would not return. He tried to get the owner so I could share my experience but the owner was bust and I really just wanted to leave. I debated writing this review but when I woke up today I was still upset so it needed to be done.

The service was not great whatsoever and we felt like we were being rushed. Underwhelming food as well. Unfortunately, WildChild was not welcoming or professional either, so we will not be back.

WildChld is the bar part of StepChld and StepChld is the restaurant part. A very relaxed and comfortable setting. You can choose to sit on leather couches, or at a tables, or booths. The decor is lovely, the music is from my high school years, circa 1980's. The crowd looked 20's and 30's business professionals or business owners. A good time was had by all. My Wife and I will be back.

I want to start this off by saying our server was very friendly and the space was super cool and comfortable.
With that said, we ordered the double smash burger and it came with 1 patty. I asked about it and was told that the price on the menu was too cheap so they could only do 1 patty. They should either honor the item on the menu or update the menu. They did give us a discount.
Also I ordered an old fashioned. As a cocktail bar I’d expect them to have 1 ice cube as any cocktail bar would have but it was lots of ice cubes and a very sweet flavored old fashioned.
I was dissapointed because I love StpChld but this place was some growing pains.
