I love restaurants with a mission! I want to use my money to support small businesses and nonprofits when I can, which was part of the reason that I was so excited when Wildflyer Coffee opened. As a Social Worker who works within the field of youth who are experiencing homelessness and sexual exploitation, I'm so thrilled to see opportunities like Wildflyer for them. Simply "getting a job" is rarely enough to lift someone out of homelessness. However, professional development skills and case management services on top of a paycheck is a different kind of solution of the crisis of youth homelessness. And not only is the mission amazing, the coffee and breakfast treats are actually GOOD! I'm not choking down coffee that I dislike, because I know that it is going to a good cause. It's a win-win. Great coffee. Great cause.

I love the atmosphere and the shop's overall mission; however, I was disappointed by the food and drink quality. I ordered the coffee cake and the iced chai. The coffee cake was rather stale and dense, although the flavor was great. The chai tasted soapy.

Great venue with lots of windows to let the light in. I tried their chai with oat milk and it was awesome. Friendly service at the counter and lots of good energy. Will definitely be coming back and glad to have found this neighborhood gem!

Food was great, drinks were meh…but system is super disorganized & they forgot to give us half of what we ordered. We even asked what happened and they still didn’t get it right. Service was not great & I’m sitting here bagel-less. Uh 2/5 cuz I think they do stuff for the community.. but they need a better ticket system. It seems like they have no system at all. Maybe ask for names or have order numbers ? Instead they announce drink names, & everyone just be getting out of their chairs racing to grab a random latte sitting on the counter even though the one person had ordered 10 minutes before the other one.Vegetarian options: There’s ham I think? But everything else is friendly

Accidentally came here thinking this was the place a friend told me about. It's not. My drink was OK but for $15 for 2 drinks...I *need* to love it. I ordered an iced Longfellow...it is 100% comparable to an iced miel anywhere else. My husband ordered the iced Highlander...he threw away the rest of his coffee so...that's his review "not worth the calories" Staff was super friendly to me, music was a bit loud and inconsistent throughout the hour we were there. I gave it 3 stars because on a busy Saturday, there were still a few open tables. I like to be able to sit down if I pay for a drink somewhere, so that checked some boxes at least! Again, I wanted to love it more than I did!

Meeting someone at Wildflyer in SE Minneapolis and I live this coffee shop. It’s spacious yet warm. I had a cup of tea and gluten free glazed donut. The donut was probably made from coconut flour and yummy. The tea was delicious.

Sweet little nonprofit coffee shop and cafe in South Minneapolis with FANTASTIC coffee! We stopped here on our way to Minnehaha falls. I got the Longfellow Latte, a tribute to the well known South Minneapolis neighborhood. It's a brown butter caramel latte, and it was Absolutely delicious. Even better than their coffee is their employment training program that hires youth experiencing homelessness. We love a local shop that gives love and support back into our city.
