I bought a cake from Woullet Bakery in Minnesota for a Sweet 16 birthday party, a very important event in life. To our shock and horror, when we cut into the cake, the entire middle was filled with mold. This was not only a major health hazard, as some of the children had already eaten the cake, but it also completely ruined the celebration. The birthday girl, a teenager, was embarrassed in front of her friends and experienced significant emotional distress on her special day. The mold in the center of the cake suggests it was not fresh and was likely sold past its expiration date. This level of negligence is unacceptable, particularly from a bakery that should prioritize the safety and satisfaction of its customers. I cannot recommend Woullet Bakery. The lack of quality control and the impact it had on our special event was extremely disappointing and distressing. Avoid this place if you care about the quality and safety of your food.

I used to love this place pre-COVID. Went in recently, and the woman working told me my donut might not be totally done thawing because she put them in the freezer so as not to waste them. ? I appreciate the desire to not be wasteful, but I’m pretty sure that’s a donut crime.

Great spot for sweet treats! I stopped by today and they gave me some free lemon bars :) Highly recommend. The staff are always super friendly, too!

They were closing and still let us in.

They are located on the second level (skyway). I enjoy getting a donut or cupcake here. As of 11/30/2022 it was $2.75 for a custard filled bismarck. I think it was worth it. Yum!

Only had a dollar on me and not only were they kind enough to give me a donut, they threw in a second one.

my sister was in town visiting some high school friends and stopped in to buy some cookies. on her way out of town she stopped at my place and asked me if I could return the cookies as they were horribly rancid. we tried calling and had to listen to this menu with no options until they said please hold the line and then it rang continuously and after about 5 minutes we hung up. I then drove over to wuollet's and there were two young gentlemen working and I waited for all the customers to be gone and told them what had happened. they did remember my sister and told me they couldn't give me a refund and I needed to call and talk to a Cortez in the morning. I proceeded to call and talk to a Sara at the office and she told me that I could stop in on Wednesday and get a refund and make sure they pulled the cookies off the shelf. so I stopped in there today (Wednesday), and the same gentleman were working and another woman. They didn't know anything about a refund or that I would be stopping by. the lady then called the office and talked to Sara. my story was verified and she then proceeded to give me my refund. This is very poor customer service as we were in your store three times and we were never compensated for anything! your employees don't know how to do a refund and the cookies we're still on the shelf! I will never shop there! my lesson is I guess I should have just left it alone because I paid more in gas going back and forth than the $8.50 it cost for the cookies.

This is NOT the same bakery I grew up with that was high class all the way. I ordered a Yule log for the holidays expecting it would be the same wonderful soufflé cake recipe it had always been in the past that was incredible. Instead it was dried out standard chocolate cake with barely any cream cheese flavored frosting inside the role and plain chocolate frosting covered on the outside with minimal decoration. I’m assuming they must be under new management/ownership and it shows. I don’t even know if they still make the soufflé cakes that were one of the main reasons I loved this bakery and patronized it for years. Extremely disappointing to see something that was once so special become nothing better than a grocery store quality bakery.

I ordered my Thanksgiving breads and desserts from the Wuollet location in Edina, because I like to support local when I can. I went to pick them up, and much to my surprise, only half the order was ready; I was told the other half was delayed and I was assured it would be ready by 10:30am, three-and-a-half hours after the scheduled time.
