We were there picking up a take out order. While waiting we sat at the bar to have drinks. Just found out they are dog friendly outside. Food is always great and so is the service. I highly recommend reserving a table for the weekends because they get busy really fast and fill up. Prices are great, and please note appetizers are shareable here with your guests. My price point is based on this experience, which was getting a drink.

Vibe was great, service was good. Hot sake was delicious. Food was not edible. I ordered veggie gyoza & Japanese fried chicken. They were both burned & dried out (limited late night happy hour menu). Maybe I ordered the wrong things? Idk. Either way, I will not return.

This was our first trip and it was good. Requested an off the menu cocktail, lychee martini which was delightful. Ramen, while good, lacked umami and spiciness in the broth. Service was excellent, staff was knowledgeable and approachable.

Was told they only do takeout when we came in. Asked what time they stopped seating and the host said 9:45...I said it's 9:30? He hugged and rolled his eyes as he said come this way

Huge Japanese food lover, but left pretty disappointed. Katsu is not breaded and was very dry and the curry had little umami. The rice it was served with was also poor quality and a bit over cooked. Tonkotsu ramen also lacked umami, though broth was porky and the leftover was nice and gelatinous. The ajitami egg was barely seasoned and the included (and optional) toppings were not very imaginative. All in all, quite a lot of money for a less than intimate atmosphere and food that wouldn't make my top 100 list. Service was good.

It was even difficult to choose! Vegan options were clearly labeled and all of them looked really good. I ended up ordering the mapo tofu mazemen and it was delicious. I'm not a huge fan of soup, so I was happy to have this dish, which is a brothless ramen. Would love to try other dishes here!

Solid food and service. We definitely want to go back. We got the house made pickles, chicken gyoza, Brussels sprouts, mapo tofu ramen, pork katsu, and the green tea Tiramisu. All of which were very good. The only critique we had was that the pork katsu could have had more curry sauce. Drinks were good too!! All around, we had a great time at Zen Box.

I came here for a dinner date with a new friend and we had a nice time. The gyoza was really good and we both ordered the Szechuan ramen bowl and each had a couple of beers and shared some sake. Everything was delicious although I would rather the ramen had more spice and less sweet flavor to it. The service was fine. Nothing spectacular but definitely not bad. I kind of like minimal service so it was good for me. The price range was really good. I had expected it to cost more considering the location. We sat on the patio and the temperature was perfect so that was nice . My only complaint is that my friend found a glob of slime in his beer and they didn’t really act surprised or even offer to bring him a new one. Other than that it was good and I’m sure I’ll go back.
