Stopped in for cocktails during happy hour and this place was a vibe. Quiet, but with great energy. Bartender was legit, and took care of us. Need more places like this.

Very nice concept casual restaurant. Obviously popular with us retirees for lunch. Will have to return for Happy Hour.

Been here several times..gotten the same thing last three times..Onion soup (best I've ever had in this country)..Asian salad. (Iunch combo with up charge for French onion soup).+ Pop-over extra $2. Limited hours...11am to 3pm. VERY TACKY that shortly after 2pm they start putting chairs up on tables and start sweeping.. So by 2:35..all the chairsaround us were up side down on top the tables and our waitress was sweeping the floor right next to us. There was a couple in a booth that still hadn't received their meals....I guess they must have felt pressured to eat fast...

Interesting concept of "do-it-yourself" dining with a relaxing atmosphere but subpar food. Ordered walleye strips, wild rice soup and garden salad. Walleye was cold and soup had no flavor (also watery). Won't be back

Girls' day of shopping included a stop for lunch at this lovely spot! Was thrilled to see some of the wonderful recipes from The Lakeshore Grill! The Mandarin salad was AMAZING & the chicken wild rice soup was delicious!! I'm so happy this is here!!!!!

I have to admit that my opinion is colored by the facility that used to be in its place, which was more of a full-service place, where you were seated by a host, and your order was taken by a server, and that server brought your order out to you. Maybe more choices were offered, too. I really can't remember. It seemed that you got your food a little faster this time, I don't remember. I just don't like standing in line at a bar and putting my order in, then taking a number to put at my table. I guess I'll get used to it. I miss the conversations we used to have before with the servers before, but I suppose this is more efficient. At least they're not robots and drones--yet.

Restaurantji Recommends
This was quite different for me, order at the bar, take a number, and find a seat. We had breakfast and everything tasted good. Unfortunately, the multigrain toast, and berry Jam didn't agree with my fragile stomach. However, my son ate all of his food.
Parking: At the mall, lots of parking spaces

The girl at cash register was rude, and carded us 65 year olds for wine! Probably won't return
a popover + soup is a great lunch
