Fast friendly service and great breakfast. At first look the Bacon seemed undercooked but it was perfect!

Hit and miss.....sometimes good.....sometimes bad

Stopped in for lunch and got breakfast. My omelette was fluffy and full, the hash browns are crispy. The star however was the pancakes, I expected something okay but the scent of the pancakes was absolutely divine and they have blueberry, maple and strawberry syrups. They tasted incredible. I would highly recommend The River family restaurant.

Food is good. Has always been good even before it became The Rivers. Update to interior is nice. I grew up in that town and was back visiting. Nice to see updates interior- but the bathrooms are just as terrible as they were when I was growing up- literally haven't changed in 40+ years.

Nice restaurant. Food and service was good. I was charged a little more, I'm assuming, because cause the waitress wrote it wrong? Ordered the lighter side breakfast and added something.

Server was over extended, never did receive my beverage or extra napkins. Cheese soup wasn't good. I couldn't get anyone at our table to eat it. But their prices are very reasonable.

Recently updated with a homey atmosphere. Home cooked food and a very reasonably priced dessert. We ordered rhubarb dessert with our order ( split) and 2 to go! Delicious all around.

$4 half stack of some of the best pancakes I've had in a while. Need comfort food? Go half or full stack. Can't go wrong.

I've been eating here a lot as I'm in town for work for a few months. The food is pretty good. Sometimes, depending on what you order, it can be a bit greasy, but that's fairly common for this type of establishment. Prices are good by today standards, and it's the best option in Montevideo and surrounding areas. I tried the La Plazita place up the road 3 times. Good food, but everyone working there is rude as hell. I decided it wasn't worth it to go back. The service here is better, and overall, it's a better value. I realize they serve completely different food, but when food options are this limited, you have to compare all of them as equals.

Still gotta try Valentinos, and Jake's Pizza. I'll check back if they're worth mentioning.

We were 15 people around 11 am. Almost for breakfast everything was great although the order was a little delayed.
