“Worth the stop as you drive through Montevideo. This charming ice cream shop has a large good menu - all the American classics. We ordered the popcorn chicken as shown and ice cream. The service was fast! We enjoyed our food on the patio and it was fun to see how many locals stopped by, grabbed a cone and we’re on their way.”

“We were curious why there were so few cars parked there and read reviews however because we moved back to the area we wanted to evaluate our selves.We had an excellent table overlooking the Minnesota river.nice music playing and Eddie isn’t waitress. We never waited for anything. The table of four agreed salads were fresh and entrees were very good. The cheezy hash browns with onions was a table favorite. All and all good service and good food. Total time 1 hour 15 minutes. We will definitely go again.”

“Part of the McDonald's original model was their Speedee Service System, a modern improvement on fast food in the 1940s. Unfortunately, this McDonald's missed the mark on "Speedee". We originally did a mobile order for the drive thru, which was about 15 cars deep. So, we switched it to curbside. We waited 15 to 20 minutes to get out food. During that time, just 4 or 5 cars made it out of the drive thru. “Great, friendly bar close to the state park. The Goose was an oasis from the heat and the mosquitoes. The cold beer was definitely a nice bonus. The bartender was super friendly and didn't mind us not being locals. They have three different brands of pizza, including the always tasty Heggie's. There are darts, a pool table and pull tabs to keep you occupied. A head's up, they do stop off-sale at 6 on Sundays. I'd recommend at least one stop by the Goose if you're headed through Watson.”
