70% vegetables. Manager confirms this is normal Are you a fan of majority vegetables with your order? Like 70% vegetables? Perfect place for you. I ordered mongolian beef, got my food in 5 minutes which was good, then when I actually looked at the food I noticed an EXTREME amount of onions. Yes I'm petty and wanted to know if I was crazy, but I separated all of the onions from all of the beef in the tray and it was 70% onions. I called the store to ask if this was normal, and a manager directly told me "yes that is normal for the majority to be vegetables."

Food is pretty good. Nothing to write home about. The fried rice is pretty disappointing and barely qualifies as fried rice. Sesame Chicken was visually appealing and tasted good though needed quite a lot of soy sauce to give it sufficient flavor. Cream cheese puffs were okay. Egg roll was okay. The inside of the place is clearly not meant to encourage people to dine in. It's messy with boxes and various restaurant items here and there. Two white girls are running the front, one is friendlyish and the other wouldn't care if you dropped dead at your table. I might go back here but probably not. Then again, for Monticello this is probably the best Chinese food in town.

Saturday, 5/4/24 around 3:30pm..We were waited on immediately. The customer service was pleasant enough. The waiting/dining area was ok. There was 3 tables with chairs. A table with condiments and napkins. In the hallway was their overstock boxes and miscellaneous items. I had the Garlic sauce chicken.. what garlic?? The chicken and veggies were tender. The fried rice did not taste good or fresh. Prices are very reasonable. Could use some improvement overall. It will be a while before I eat here again. Sorry I forgot to take a few pics or video of my meal and the establishment.

Ordered a family special, and the meals did not come rice. Ordered $110 dollars worth of food for 8 people and wasn't even asked if I wanted to add white rice. When I called to ask about it, was treated very poorly.

We drove out of our way to get food here it's just that good. You can get extra meat with your entree for $2.00 more. Freshly prepared food & you can ask for extra spicy too.
Parking: Not a lot of parking near entry but plenty of overall parking due to it being near a mall.

First time back since they stopped doing the lunch express table. So since covid... I used to come multiple times a week and this will be my last time ever back, unless they make some changes. I've always been hopeful that they would bring the express lunch table back, but anytime I've called to ask I'm always told no. I was craving Chinese food last night and wanted to go to the buffet in town cause I like options and smaller portions of lots of things vs large portions of one thing.. when we discovered the buffet was closed on Tuesdays I decided to give Chin Yuen another try. We ordered several things. Even though it was only the 2 of us, I wanted multiple things so we had to order a lot.. and I normally don't mind having leftovers so I was ok with this. Not happy about it, but just "oh well" ya know... Since large portions are their only option now, this was our only option.While there I asked again if they ever brought their express lunch table back. They have not. Between the lack of options for sizes, no express table, and the following, I can safely say that I'll never be back.So the food... the food has just gone downhill. Beef and broccoli isn't as good as it used to be. The mixed vegetables in ginger sauce were underwhelming and their fried rice was just a joke. This is the only thing that when you get it, it comes in smaller portions. It's one of my husband's favorite foods so he would have liked to have had more.. until he tried it. It comes in plastic containers and was just soggy. Fried rice should be a bit fried in texture but this was just soggy brown rice with very little flavor and nothing in it. No egg or vegetables.. just rice. The mixed vegetables used to be served like a side and they're a "main dish" which is weird.. so it comes with an additional side of disappointing rice. Mostly, they need more ways to order food in different sizes or be customizable. I probably wouldn't be so disappointed with the quality of the food if I didn't have to order so much of it and now have so many leftovers..
Terrible. Everything was soggy, the sesame chicken wasn't anything near what sesame chicken is supposed to be. The sweet and sour sauce was absolutely horrible. The fried rice was literally just brown rice. Never coming back here
