We stopped in at El Alce after hiking and kayaking in Moose Lake State Park. I ordered the #14: chimichanga, chalupa and taco, and my wife ordered the #19: burrito, enchilada and chalupa. The service was super fast, and the food was terrific. I strongly suggest you give El Alce a try!

A great find in a small town. The chorizo is exceptional. The food is hot and the ice tea is cold. Restaurant is clean and spacious.
I haven't tried everything from this place yet but so far everything I have tried has been delicious. The staff is very friendly and helpful when ordering. I feel that the food is reasonably priced as well. I would highly recommend you give this place a chance if you haven't already!

The food was acceptable. However the service was quite poor. It's as if the server didn't like the fact that my three kids all wanted kids menu entrees. There was no age limit for the kids menu printed on it. But dirty looks were given when all three kids ordered from it. That, plus the fact that they didn't want to provide me with the check at the table, and I think I'll look elsewhere for my next dining experience in Moose Lake, MN
