The Prime Rib nissed the mark by a long way, Would never order again. Could hardly cut it with a steak knife, let alone eat it. Never was asked how was your dinner.

Pub 42 is a cozy neighborhood restaurant known for its friendly staff and a good selection of quality food. Their prime rib receives mixed reviews, with some finding it tough, while others enjoy dishes like the walleye and walleye sandwich. The ambiance is fantastic, highlighted by a touching tribute to a customer's late mother on Mother's Day. The popovers with honey butter are a hit, along with the Shrimp noodle salad featuring a flavorful Thai chili sauce. The Millionaire BLT offers generous portions of thick-cut bacon. While service can vary, many customers have reported friendly and attentive servers. Some diners have mentioned issues with incorrect orders, but the overall experience remains positive. Appetizers like deviled eggs and candied bacon are popular, though opinions may differ. The turkey dinner comes with a lot of gravy, and the brownie sundae is a delicious dessert. Prices are reasonable, and the atmosphere is warm, though the open layout can be noisy. Whether for a casual lunch or a special occasion, Pub 42 provides a welcoming experience with dishes like the French Onion Soup, Walleye Fingers, and a strong Old Fashioned cocktail. The Maple Pepper Bacon and Tomatoes Flatbread Pizza is also noted as awesome, and diners are encouraged to save room for the Crispy Bread Pudding Bites.
