Food was hot, excellent customer service, sauces and napkins in every bag. Very pleased!

I had my kids with me, we got to the speaker and the guy asked me to wait, so I told him “no problem”, but he must of left his microphone on because he proceeded to yell at an employee and swear at them using the F-word, then it sounded like static before shutting off. I waited some more but still no reply. I’m just mad that my kids had to hear that, Guy needs to learn how to talk nicer to people.

Service has gotten slightly better in the past month but food and order accuracy has gone down. On my last mobile order, the ketchup packets were forgotten and my frosty had numerous small clumps of something the consistency of hard butter.

Wendy’s in Nisswa has gone full HGTV makeover edition. A few months back, the place felt more like one of those “before” shots—long lines, cold food, and me questioning my life choices while staring at the drive-thru menu. I swore it off.

But recently, word got out they did a “full remodel,” not with shiplap and farmhouse sinks, but with something better: a nearly brand-new staff. And let me tell you, the after is glorious. The drive-thru actually moves (no more slow-motion traffic jams), the food is hot and fresh, and the crew is hustling like they’re auditioning for the Food Network.

So, huge kudos to the new team for breathing life back into Wendy’s Nisswa. This is one reboot where the sequel really is better than the original.

6 years ago I had a 4 star review but the last 5 times iv gone to this place iv only got my food twice because of the 30 minute waits with one other person in the drive through.. everything from service to food quality are absolutely horrible.. please just save yourself the time and money..

I've been going to this location for several years and for a while it was definitely struggling but as of late summer 2025 it it seems that they have put in some work to improve everything, the parking lot is getting better, the potholes are getting filled in which is refreshing, and a big difference in the food and service speed. Happy to see everything turning around and being a place I can look forward to relying on again when we need a quick meal.

If you’re going to close at 5pm please update your website instead of standing at the drive through at 6:15pm staring at me wondering what IM doing

Just pulled into the drive-through and was told that they would not take my order because there was too big of an order inside… when I asked 10 minutes later… 10 freaking minutes. ((I know this because I haves timer set for work)) if they were gonna take my order, the guy got cocky with me and said no I already told you I’m not gonna take your order… Rudeness at its finest. The whole line behind me also left which was six cars because I told everybody what he said so everybody proceeded to leave. I’m glad they just lost a bunch of customers over that one and trust me I will be calling to speak with a manager as well. Who get denied service at a fast food place… Wendy’s. If I could give zero on everything I would!!!!

A recent visit to this Wendy’s was a lesson in patience. For no other reason than I really wanted a chicken sandwich, I waited, inside, for 35 minutes before I was waited on. I was not greeted, or acknowledged in any way prior to that. I watched three other groups join the line and then leave after 10 or 15 minutes but by then I was curious and stubborn enough to see how long it would take to get service. I watched the crew of four deal with drive up orders and inside orders, and observed the young man at the counter leave for extended periods of time without even a glance at the people waiting to order. When he finally deigned to take my order I told him how long I had been waiting: no word of apology or even a hello, the first words out of his mouth were “it’s not our fault, there’s only 3 of us working” (though I could see 4 from where I was standing)to which I said then you need to move a little faster. His rely to that was “you can leave if it’s too inconvenient for you”. The rudeness and lack of hustle was too much for me and we left, never to return until they figure some things out. The place wasn’t all that busy for a later lunch hour (after 1:00pm) maybe only 2 or 3 tables inside.
The sad part is that it’s a beautiful restaurant and has been good in the past. Now it’s obvious there’s something wrong with the ownership or management— dirty dining room and restrooms, huge potholes in the drive, flower beds full of weeds and untended grounds. It’s sad.

Great food and service. Horrible drive thru potholes. Apparently, many folks have said something about it, and the owner has known for awhile.
