It was a perfect date night with my husband. The adorable old building, the Christmas decorations, the groovy live music, the cocktails, the service, and single-handedly the BEST cheese curds, hot wings, and fish tacos we've ever had. Whoever they have cooking in there, 10 out 10.

Rush City isn’t a big town, and in fact you will probably rarely hit it if you’re in Minnesota. However, I urge you to take some time out of your day and make the trek. You’ll find a hidden gem known as the Fort. Warm aesthetics, affordable unique cocktails, and the best cheese curds a person can have. I find myself visiting this place every time I’m in Minnesota, and you should too.
PS: Highly recommend the jerk tacos. Ask for extra sauce on the side if you like it spicy.

This was such a fun place to stop on the way from Minneapolis to Duluth. It is in the Grand Hotel which is allegedly haunted. We ordered tacos and crab cakes. Food was amazing. The tacos were very tasty with a little bit of spice and came with a side salad. And I ordered blue cheese dressing and it was the perfect lunch. The wait staff was hospitable and enjoyable and efficient. We really enjoyed our stay.
Great dry rub wings. Great pickle rollup, in fact better than anywhere. Raspberry blue cheese burger also very good! And of course great service

This restaurant is located inside the historical Grant House. We visited here on Friday evening. The atmosphere was great. We both ordered cheeseburgers with fries and they were cooked exactly as we asked. They had chopped onions, which is normal, but the they also had chopped tomatoes, which I've never seen or had! It was so delicious! Could only eat half so I heated the other half, the next day, and it was almost as good! We had a young waitress but she did her job well. Checked on us a couple times, always with a smile. It was a full restaurant so I was impressed with how well she did her job! The prices are maybe a little high, but everything is expensive now a days! I definitely recommend this place!
