The food is wonderful.
We like the atmosphere, it's quiet and comfy and relaxing.
My complaint is with the service.
I Had to get up to find the server to order. After getting our
food we didn't see him. No one checked back to see how our food was or if we needed drink refills. Again had to get up and ask for a box and the check.
We have been there enough to give it a fair shot but I don't think we will go back. Service is a game breaker, there are enough other places to go that value there customers.

Server was not friendly or informative. He seemed unhappy. My friend asked the price of a margaritas because it was not in the menu. He did not know. It was around 10 dollars.Chips did not taste good and there was no salsa, only Pico de gallo
My friends and I will not be back. I forsee this restaurant to close soon.

I’ve been going to there other locations for years, and this one is one of my favorite. They always have great food and are really helpful. Definitely recommend, and the best Mexican food in Mankato.

My husband and I went to Plaza Jalisco for our Anniversary July 21, around 7 pm and we thought this place would be packed, but when we got there we wondered if it was closed already, being it was a Monday night, but no it was open. We had the whole restaurant to ourselves that entire night, more said about that later...
We ordered drinks and they provided chips and salsa to start our night. The chips were nice and warm.
Then the meal. My husband had a steak and shrimp plate and I had steak stripped up into a chilli mexicano atop of rice, lettuce, beans, and tomatoes on the side. We were so excited about the meal and the aroma of it that we dug in right away and later we realized that we didn't take a picture. Haha. It was so delicious that I can't even give it the justice to describe it here. You just have to try this place for yourselves!!
Next came the tequila shots and the true Mexican humor and hospitality!! Understanding that this was our anniversary the manager, who himself, and much of the staff, do not speak much English it seemed, brought over the tequila and offer us a shot with lime. It was so fine, no need for the lime after the 3rd shot....generosity, humor, good food, good people, good atmosphere, all made our 18th year anniversary very special!! Thank you Plaza Jalisco!!
Now about the empty restaurant. Where is everyone?? This is an awesome place!! There wasn't even a call in order, and these small business owners are trying to make a difference in North Mankato. Support them!! I had two full meals for price range $10-15
of nothing but awesomeness!!

I was so excited when I heard they were opening here. I ate there once and have not been back, cute decor but food was so disappointing.

We were driving thru to the airport and was not going stop because there were not any cars in the lot. We owned a Mexican restaurant and are very picky.

We went in and it was SUPER clean we thought it was new. Staff was friendly and free chips were great!

They brought the tacos and grilled onions. WOW!!! Food was A-MAZE-ING. 10/10 please go and support this place, they deserve it.

I don’t tend to post reviews but I have to on this one. The food was pretty average but probably the bottom out of Mankato Mexican restaurants. But the service was absolutely horrible. We went in and there was only 3 tables of people. Our servers took our order and brought it out then brought out our check never checked in for refills or see how things were but managed to continuously help everyone else around us. I had to wave down a different waiter to get just 1 refill. I usually give restaurants 2 chances but my family agreed this was a 1 and done situation
